There was a reason for that. The left started going after him last week, saying that his viewership was down. They tried to make it sound like he was becoming irrelevant. Obviously untrue.

As I’ve said several times recently, Matt has been more than fair to McCain and Palin. I get the feeling he likes them. I also get the feeling that he doesn’t like Obama the Messiah very much, especially when he has his nose in the air.
This is like the Monica days all over again, because Drudge is one of the few sites where people can actually find out what is happening, behind the smokescreen of the lying media. If there’s an interesting new story, they can trust Drudge to get it out. He always does bet when the Drive By Media are in full propaganda mode, and they have never been this deep in the tank, even for Bill Clinton.
Does Drudge artificially increase its hit count by refreshing every 30 seconds? Or is that taken into account when such statistics are measured?
