View of the Mall, looking north, towards Lake Erie. Mall A is partially visible at the bottom of the picture, Mall B is in the middle, and Mall C is near the top. You can see the Browns Stadium on the lakefront. This event just happens to start at the very same time the Browns game should be over.

This is exactly the view I see from my office window (29 floors up).

The main part of the event is in the center mall, Mall B.

I think he wants to seen the 70K Browns fans mix with his 100k fans.

It does seem odd to rally in Cleveland where he already has 110% of the eligible voters.

“Born to Run”

I hate that tune. I never heard a real guy moan and groan as he does in that totally over-wrought production.

Does he think he might not be as welcome in say Cincy? :)

He certainly isn't coming on US 50 to Southern Indiana, even though those are heavy democratic counties (With KKK roots)

I just came inside from a break. The mall is going to be filled, but realize that it is not all that large. The people that passed me walking toward the mall were your usual BHO supporters, almost entirely young and ethic.

While I was outside, I heard a small group cheering for a very short time, “Yes we can.”

"Thousands To Flock Downtown For Browns Game, Obama Rally

POSTED: 5:53 pm EDT October 31, 2008

UPDATED: 5:21 pm EDT November 1, 2008

CLEVELAND -- Thousands of people will be flocking to downtown Cleveland on Sunday afternoon, when the Browns will play the Ravens and Sen. Barack Obama will hold a rally.

Obama and his wife, Michelle, will be in Cleveland for a Change We Need rally. Also attending the rally will be Bruce Springsteen, who will perform an acoustic set to encourage Obama supporters to turn out at the polls.

The rally will begin at 3:45 p.m. at Malls B and C on Lakeside Avenue. Doors will open at 2 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required.

Rally attendees are strongly encouraged to use public and mass transit, particularly the Redline on the Rapid, or the new Healthline. Parking will be extremely limited.

The RTA said it will be providing extra bus and rapid service as well.

There is no parking permitted on main thoroughfares into and out of downtown including West 9th, West 3rd, Ontario, East 9th, St. Clair, Superior and Lakeside.

There are also additional parking restrictions in effect for two hours following a Cleveland Browns football game.

For security reasons, do not bring bags. Please limit personal items. No signs or banners allowed."

The people are starting to gather in the Mall.

I can hear guitar strumming 29 floors up. LOL.

A lot of people just walked by me as I was standing outside of my office building. They are definitely a different type of people. I saw a woman carrying NARAL sign. Expect the Mall to be filled.

Tony, all I can say is that I thank God that I live in one of Ohio’s red counties. :-)

The number of people at the really isn’t a very good showing for BHO. The center mall isn’t full. But, remember, when the Browns game is done, you’ll see more people.

The Browns Stadium is nearly empty. Most of the people are outside of it and walking away.

Overall, I would say that the number of people at the rally is less than an event at a small gym. I expected more. We shall see how many people stop by on their way from the Browns Stadium.

It appears to me that the vast majority of people leaving the Browns Stadium are heading home, not to the rally.
