Is there a transcript for the audio impaired?

You could use it for the sanity-impaired, too.

Something is now going on in Virginia. McCain is advertising heavily and so are the NRA and others supporting McCain

There are zero, nada Obama commercials.

I thought O has conceded the state and taking the money elsewhere. Later I thought....O has it in the bag and doesn’t need to spend in Virginia.

The southwest Virginia TV market is served from over here across the line in East Tennessee.

More on what the UMWA is telling its members...

Obama talks about coal Barack Obama is on record supporting the development of clean coal technology in the United States.

Note to the rank-and-file: That's gonna be hard to do when the coal companies are kaput.

Sorry, I see know many have sent it to Fox and other places. Everyone on FR is always 10 steps ahead of me. I guess I will bring up the rear with the gear.
I am always the last to call shotgun too. LOL

Let's not forget this little gem...

Biden: 'No coal plants here in America'

And note to the UMWA members, I have three letters for you: UAW.

Are you getting my drift...?

Transcript of Obama's words:

Obama: "I-it-it-it..."

San Franscisco reporter: "Alternative including coal, or -- ?"

Obama: "Uh let uh let uh let let let uh let let me sorta describe my overall policy. Uh what I've said was put a, uh, cap-and-trade system in place that is more, uh, that is as aggressive if not more aggressive than anybody else's out there."

"I was the first call [sic] for 100% auction on the cap-and-trade system, uh, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gas that was emitted would be charged, uh, to the polluter. Uh, that will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet tho...the rigors of that market and the ratcheted-down, uh, caps that are place, uh, imposed every year."

"So, if somebody wants to build a coal power plant they can -- it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're gonna be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted. That will also generate billions of dollars that we can invest in solar, wind, bio-diesel, and other alternative, uh, energy approaches."

"Th-the only thing that I've said with respect to coal -- I haven't been some coal booster -- what I have said is that, uh, for us to take coal off the table as a [sic] ideological matter, as opposed to saying if technology allows us to use coal in a clean way, we should pursue it."

Cut to Joe Biden saying: "No coal plants here in America. Build them, if they're gonna build them over there, make them clean, because they're killing us. See ya. Thank you."

I have one word for the rank-and-file: Suckers!

The Union business has very little to do with the coal business these days. The UMWA is cheerfully awaiting the day when they can walk into WalMart and Arbys with a petition and start collecting dues.

Meanwhile....

Economy Heightens Debate Over Bill to Ease Union Organizing

No more secret ballota.

Gee, wonder why the 'Rats and union bosses feel the need for that legislation...

SNORT.

Paging the rank-and-file: Those of you who are still 'Rat supporters need to take your brains out of neutral.

I know. They kill off an industry then have to find another to plunder. Union bosses remind me of the Borg.
