Day 21: IBD/TIPP Tracking Poll
The race tightened again Sunday as independents who'd been leaning to Obama shifted to McCain to leave that key group a toss-up. McCain also pulled even in the Midwest, moved back into the lead with men, padded his gains among Protestants and Catholics, and is favored for the first time by high school graduates.

Now this is looking MUCH better!
Zero BELOW 47% alert.
Good news. :)
Looks like there’s momentum for McCain. The games not over yet.
Mac is within MOE
Undecides are breaking for GOP
State polls tightening up. We have a shot...VOTE
I think I am more excited to see the Obamunist under 47%.
Wow! Not only did Mac gain, Zero lost 1.3 points.
Finally! Some good news!
Does anyone know the internals for this poll...percentage of Dems and Repubs?
We have now seen a 2-point overnight move in the Hotline poll and believe it or not the R2000/Daily Kos poll had Obama +4 for yesterday’s one day sample and that sample was weighted at +9D!
They don’t publish it, but I was told by their pollster that it is somewhere in the 2 to 3 point democrat oversample range.
Here’s one thing about this poll I don’t understand: 89% of Rep vote for McCain, 85% of Dems vote for BO, and 47% of Independents vote for McCain vs. 45% BO vote for McCain. If you add up the numbers here, it looks like McCain should be in the lead.... UNLESS they are overpolling Democrats.
Is my reasoning accurate?

Obama Says A Baby Is A Punishment
Big movement towards McCain!
They are overweighting democrats by 2 to 3 points.
look at those “undecided” women... hmmm...
I’m happy to see Mac doing better with the repubs than the “Obamunist” is doing with the dems. pssst.. I stole your word.
This sure is a lot different from all the “experts” I am hearing on Wolf Blitzer’s CNN Sunday News (Including Republicans).
I'm still praying for a miracle.
People are taking a closer look at him
They can always vote for him in 12 years*, if they still want him.
*4 years of President McCain, 8 years of President Palin.
These people obviously do not listen to the ABC or CNN Sunday morning panels. Absolutely everyone is voting for Obama and McCain has NO chance whatever. LOL.
Admonition: another thing the media were setting up this morning were what would be the “indicators” that it was going to be an Obama landslide. They will trot out these indicators on election day to depress Republican turnout. Don’t listen to them.
O under 47??? Now THAT means something!!! (at least IMHO)
Less than 48 hours!!! One final push to save the U.S.A.!
Between NOW and election day, convince at least two Obama/Undecided voters to vote for McCain. (family, neighbors, friends, people waiting in the check-out line) Further, convince these two people (or two others) to take up the same challenge. (Like a chain letter)
So you have converted people in the past? Good, but we need more!
Many Obama supporters are mindlessly supporting him, with no real reason, this means it is VERY easy to get them to switch over. Even if you fail, other Obama/undecideds may be in the room and hear valid arguments and question their faith in the One.
Don’t kick yourself a week from now saying “I could’ve done more....”
Do your part...your country depends on it!
It all matters Tuesday. I just voted Friday absentee. Tuesday, I’m out watching the polls.
Let’s hope Hussein’s press conference Wedensday is of a different sort than he and Axelrod have planned. That is too sweet to even imagine.
Good analysis! Yes, they have to be oversampling Dems. But, probably less than Rasmussen. Rasmussen has BO up 5, but is oversampling 8% more Dems (40% to 32%).
Very good news, indeed. Its interesting that yesterday the IBD analysis suggested that Halloween may have skewed the results against McCain. McCain must have had a very good day on Saturday. Obama had been gaining for 5 straight days in this poll.
Be on the lookout for a toupee’d former political analyst bag boy. He’ll be angry, bitter and mumbling to himself.
In the end a Christian can not support a candidate who has supported infanticide by his actions, or lack thereof. All Christians need to call out those that claim to be Christians and support Obama.
It’s incredible, I watched CNN for 30 seconds this morning. Wow. Has a political candidate anywhere in the world ever controlled the press before without using force and murder?
I know how some people feel about Dick Morris, so, I post this with a massive amount of apprehension.
But, I heard him say last week that if barry is polling less than 48%, there is no way he can win.
Do you feel the tension in the air yet ?
this election is unbelievable.
McCain 47.59% Obama 44.48%
TURNOUT WINS ELECTIONS!, NOT POLLS!!!
USA!!!, USA!!!, USA!!!, USA!!!, USA!!!
LET'S WIN THIS ONE!!!
Excellent news for McCain. This is HUGE. This again indicates the momentum is still moving and most importantly moving where we need it.
He’s absolutely right. Had to happen sometime I guess. :)
Come on PUMA! Show us what you have.
PA, OH, VA...do you want your coal industry to go bankrupt and lose thousands of jobs?
Wake up America. You have 48 hours to make the right choice!
Thanks for sharing.
>>look at those undecided women... hmmm...
Seems to be the key to the race, eh?
