Violent political unrest in Kenya has prevented the half-sister of Sen. Barack Obama from returning to her native African homeland after visiting the United States during the Iowa caucus campaign, WND has learned. Auma Obama is now stranded in New Hampshire and indefinitely in the U.S., according to U.S. security officials involved with the presidential campaign.
Barack Obama's protective detail recently was boosted to deal with overflow crowds the new Democratic frontrunner is attracting.
The State Department still views the situation in Kenya as too dangerous for Americans, as well as his sister, to return.
Back in January 2008 worldnetdaily said she was "stranded" in New Hampshire. Apparently, prior she was in England.
So what we now have 2 Obama illegals?
(Rita) Auma Obama, Illegal?(Previously Reading, Berkshire)
Then .wikipedia.org says: Barack Obama's half-sister, born c. 1960. As of July 2008, development worker in Kenya. She studied German at the University of Heidelberg from 1981 to 1987, and graduated with a PhD based on a dissertation about the conception of labor in Germany and its literary reflections. Auma Obama is resident in London, where she married in 1996 to Englishman Ian Manners and they have a daughter named Akinyi (b. 1997).[verification needed] Zeituni Onyango, Deportation Order
Can anyone tell me if these are the only 2 or how many more are there?
What these crooks have done is go out and buy a bunch of $20 debit cards and donate them. Have to admit it was pretty ingenius. So, he probably only has a few very wealthy socialists who have donated millions each.
Foreigner enemies have done their best to buy the US Presidency. So much cheaper and cleverer than fighting us militarily.
If he gets elected we may start thinking up a new name for our country — like New Kenya.
Geez, I’m starting to think that the entire world is populated with Obama half-relatives.
"Her restlessness, her independence, her constant willingness to project into the future -- all of this struck the family as unnatural somehow. Unnatural . . . and un-African," Barack Obama wrote of his half-sister in Dreams From My Father.

I’ll have to remember that the next time I’m illegally in another country. But I’m “stranded” here!
No wonder this SOB dosen’t want to fight illegal immigration half his relatives are illegal immigrants. And since he won’t help thyem he expects the rest of us to share our wealth (if any)with them.
Where will they go when they turn America into another Kenya?
Where will Americans go after they turn it into another Kenya?
Stupid, stupid people who do not think twice about this evil person
will not like another Kenya here.
Kenya is too dangerous because Raila Odinga (who Obama campaigned for at U S Taxpayer expense) has let loose his thugs to “demonstrate” since December 2007 and refuses to call them off.
I am a legal naturalized citizen and am disgusted how Obama has ruined the beauty of this country. Yes, half of keyans are his relatives —they can have 100 wives, and all ready to be in the White House.
The situation in Kenya is dangerous because the idiot Obama supported the violent Marxist Odinga.
But yet, a person like Tito the Builder I can relate to without hesitation and I will stand beside in a heartbeat. He's an immigrant but he has become an AMERICAN in thought and deed. That's the difference. Tito is REAL, BO Plenty is someone's puppet for evil, nothing less and he hasn't done a damned thing worthwhile, not one thing.
Now comes Sarah Palin who throws the whole system on its ear and regardless of the outcome of this election, she will continue to be a driving force in America. These are not cheap politics that she's playing, this is for real and for the right reasons. She is showing us how to be standup people again, so let's follow her example and DO JUST THAT!
“Undoubtedly she (Auma) will play a role in the Obama administration with respect to US-Africa relations.”
To Auma Obama, who works in childrens services for a council near Reading, he is simply her brother. Im proud of him and I want him to do what he wants to do, but its scary. Being in the spotlight is not necessarily a good thing, she said.
Auma married a British man just over 10 years ago. They are now divorced but they have a nine-year-old daughter.
Auma was born to Obama Srs first wife in Kenya, before he left Africa for Hawaii on an overseas scholarship.
Auma eventually met Obama in Chicago, where he was a community activist.
From 1980 until very recently Auma spent most of her time in Germany. From 1980 to 1987 she studied German at the University of Heidelberg. She then was accepted into a graduate program at the University of Bayreuth where she studied the relatively new field “interkulturelle Germanistik”. According to Spiegel she wrote her dissertation on “die Arbeitsauffassung in Deutschland und literarische Reflektionen darüber” (the concept of labor in Germany and its reflection in literature).
And Auma didn’t spend all her time in Germany studying in the library. In the mid-1990s she was invited by German television to speak about the some of the vicious attacks on foreigners that were taking place in the country at that time. She worked for the local newspaper in Bayreuth and organized seminars for the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. She found part-time work as an interpreter at trade fairs, and was chosen among thousands of applicants for admittance into the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin. In the capital city she lived in the multi-cultural neighborhood of Kreuzberg and, according to Stern, joined a “glamorous clique” of successful black women from the arts and business.
After a stint in London, an unsuccessful marriage, and the birth of daughter, Auma returned to Kenya, where she is now a field director of the UN program CARE. Undoubtedly she will play a role in the Obama administration with respect to US-Africa relations.
At open secrets you can just put in a last name and it will return all of them.
We’re going to have the entire country of Kenya over here before Barak is done! Or at least those sympathetic to his cousin the terrorist loving radical.
“Auma Obama was born in Kenya to Barack Obama Sr. and his first wife. She studied in Germany and now lives in Great Britain, where she works as a social worker running a children’s’ trust.”
In other words another community organizer living off tax money! And if she lives in Great Britain, WHY is she seeking asylum here??
What a mess!
, Obama has seven living half-siblings (one he had never met died in 1984). Hes tight with two of them. The first is Maya Soetoro-Ng, his younger half-sister, the child of Obamas mother and Lolo Soetoro, her Indonesian second husband. Maya stayed with Obamas mother after she divorced Lolo, and she has recently taken time off from teaching high school in Honolulu to make appearances at her brothers campaign stops. The second, Auma Obama, is Obamas older half-sister, the child of Barack Sr. and his first wife in Kenya. Obama and Auma first met when Auma visited America after their father died in an auto accident in 1982.
The first time Barack Obama came home to his father’s village of Kogelo in western Kenya, it was as a 26-year-old backpacker exploring his family roots. In 1987, he and half-sister Auma rode a dilapidated old bus from Kisumu, the provincial capital, 60 miles away. As they lurched along dirt roads, a couple of chickens nestled in Obama’s lap and mothers passed wet babies back and forth to the two young visitors. Obama spent his time in Kogelo, a small rural village where people grow maize and raise cows, getting to know his grandmother Sarah Hussein Obama and wandering the fields and dirt lanes his late father had walked as a boy and had returned to after separating from Obama’s mother, an American, when their son was just two.
homecoming. Obama is using his Africa trip
Obama, 45, and his wife and daughters, Malia and Sasha, visited Sarah “Granny” and other relatives and shared a quick meal of chicken, porridge and cabbage. Obama told reporters gathered outside the house that he had apologized to his grandmother for all the attention she had received “because of me.” “He’s gone a long way,” says Auma Obama, a social worker in London, who accompanied her brother on his latest trip. “He’s grown a lot.”
half sister Auma Obama seems to know her American brother the best. She campaigned with him during the primary season and was prominently featured in “Dreams from My Father,” Obama’s 1995 memoir of his quest to learn more about his Kenyan father and family.
“Barack has been concerned about us, he’s been interested in our lives, he’s allowed us our space in our lives, and we’ve allowed him his space in his life,” said Auma Obama, who runs a youth sports program in Nairobi for the Atlanta-based nongovernmental organization CARE. “We are a very normal family from having not met each other. Everybody lives their own lives, everybody is responsible for their own life and what they make of it.”
