My wife made me canvas for Obama; here's what I learned (Henpecked worm finds HOPE!)
Christian Science Monitor ^ | 11-3-08 | Jonathan Curley (henpecked worm)

There has been a lot of speculation that Barack Obama might win the election due to his better "ground game" and superior campaign organization.

I had the chance to view that organization up close this month when I canvassed for him. I'm not sure I learned much about his chances, but I learned a lot about myself and about this election.

Casper Milquetoast thinks that hope is the most important issue in this election ?!? I’m sure it’s pretty easy for wifey to lead this guy around by the bits, since he doesn’t seem to be the sharpest tool in the shed.

Ask not what you can do to help yourself. Ask what your government can do for you instead.

DING...DING...DING

The winner is this post!

So true at so many levels......

Well said, thank you.

The telling this about this whole story is the “hope” for something better.

How easily some are sold.

Maybe he’s the same guy who supports RINOs and socialists:

Funny, they’re both in the same line of work with the same name.

So, maybe he does dual citizenship between NC and WA. Or maybe he’s just FOS all around.

I don’t know which is more humuliating, working for obamba or admitting your wife made you do it.

(I told you gay marriage would ruin this country.)

This made me want to puke.

It’s not about taxes (read: limited government, the welfare state, socialism). It’s not about foreign policy (our lives, our treasure, the fate of the world). It’s about feelin’ gooooood.

Although it’s a little late in life, this dude needs to grow up.

I have no respect for $ussy whipped men. I think most of us women don’t.

This guy is an embarrassment. If I had any feeling my wife was voting for Obama let alone demanding I canvas for him I’d divorce her.

"I'm a conservative"

"I voted for Bush"

"I am the dreaded swing voter"

Uh huh, I was born last night

He’s not the only one. Five years ago my brother was a staunch conservative. Then he married a lovely lady who works for some Dem judge. She now has him completely and totally whipped and there is a big Obama sign in their front yard. He’s turned into a total liberal. He even listens to NPR and has a ballet subscription. I feel so sorry for him, but he doesn’t even realize that he’s had his testicles removed and put in a lockbox.

Next time, this banker should get a dog. Liberalism is a mental disorder. If he wants to feel all warm and fuzzy, don’t make me pay for it. No wonder the banks are screwed up, hiring these losers!

Or when they find out Obama is not actually going to pay their mortgage or fill their gas tanks?

I have a feeling, though, they’ll end up blaming someone besides The One.
