Obama: Targeting Michelle Was Low GOP Blow Nov. 3, 2008(CBS) CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric caught up with Barack Obama Sunday in Columbus, Ohio, and they sat down for an exclusive interview. Couric asked about reports that an Obama aunt from Kenya may be in the U.S. illegally. Couric also inquired, among other things, about the thing that made Obama the angriest as the campaign unfolded. Portions of the interview were shown on The Early Show Monday, and more will be broadcast in a special Monday edition of the CBS Evening News. Below is a transcript of the portion from The Early Show Monday.

KATIE COURIC: YOU HAVE AN AUNT WHO'S BEEN LIVING IN THIS COUNTRY APPARENTLY ILLEGALLY, AND YOUR CAMPAIGN SAYS ANY AND ALL APPROPRIATE LAWS SHOULD BE FOLLOWED. SO WOULD YOU SUPPORT HER BEING DEPORTED TO KENYA?

SEN. BARACK OBAMA: If she has violated laws, then those laws have to be obeyed. We're a nation of laws. And, obviously, that doesn't lessen my concern for her. I haven't been able to get in touch with her. But, I'm a strong believer that you obey the law.

KATIE COURIC: What did the McCain team do in the course of this campaign that made you the angriest?

If it was Palin she was interviewing she would have said, “but your side attacked the other side’s spouse as well didn’t they?” What about Cindy McCain Katie? They treat ths guy like a G.D. king.

That’s beautiful isn’t it. The whole MSM outlet is in the tank for him, Palin and her family are relentlessly attacked, he has a graveyard full of skeletons in his closet - and he complains about a few right wing media outlets. We have got to keep this man out of office.

She is in Boston and walks with a “make shift” cane. She can’t be that hard to catch up to. If Hussein can be in 5 different states per day, he should be able to make one trip to Boston to detain his Aunt until ICE arrives to take her away.

This immature narcissist will become a tyrant if he makes it to the WH. Expect fawning interviews on all the alphabets tonight. They know if they cross him they will be thrown off the plane if he is elected.

Everything about The Øne from any pub is a low-blow attack smear. Even though these are stating hard facts, they must be retaliated with real actual slime against McCain, Palin, etc. Its The Øne's tactic of fighting with a gun against an opponent who came with a knife.

I, I think that, ahh, you know, I -- a lot of the stuff that has made me angry hasn't directly come from the McCain campaign. I mean, I, I do think that there is a -- there is a Republican or rightwing -- media outlet-- set of media outlets that went after my wife for a while in a way that I thought was just completely out of bounds. And -- and I, you know, frankly I-- you know, I would have never considered or expected my allies to do something comparable to the spouse of an opponent. ... I just feel like family is -- are civilians. And they don't sign up for this stuff. They support their -- their spouse. But generally, you know, they're really -- should be bystanders in this process, even if they're campaigning for you. You know, they're saying nice things about -- about their -- their, in this case, their husbands. I mean, that's what you expect. And-- and that doesn't make them suddenly targets.

At least he had the modicum of decency to acknowledge -- in passing -- that it wasn't the McCain campaign that made a controversy of her outrageous remarks.

I guess his buddy, DEVAL Patrick, the Governor of Taxachusetts is too drunk on tax dollars to lend a hand and help Barrie contact his aunt. What about the other ACORN demondim in the Boston area? That’s right, its the first of the month and welfare check came out, so they’re busy running to Kappy’s.

“I haven’t been able to get in touch with her.” How hard can that be? She’s under the bus..

I thought that was simply the oddest statement I have ever heard. In this day of instant communication, you can get in touch with anyone, anytime, anywhere.

And what is more amazing is that he seems to care more about the plight of illegal aliens he has never met than the plight of his "favorite aunt" who happens to be here illegally. He will fight to keep every other illegal alien here, but he is more than happy to send his "favorite aunt" packing back to Kenya. So if you are an illegal alien you don't need to fear an Obama presidency... unless you happen to be a relative or a friend of Obama.

Targeting Michelle?

Except for the Waldorf Astoria ticket for the afternoon snack including Lobster Hors D'ouvres and Iranian Caviar for enough money to feed a family of four for a couple of weeks (via e-mail), I really haven't seen much, unlike 'targeting' Joe the Plumber, or even specualting who Trig's mommy is.

We danged sure don't need a sniveler in the White House who can dish it out but can't take it.

But, I'm a strong believer that you obey the law.

If so, why does he support amnesty? He also is against cracking down on illegals in the work place. And he favors rewarding illegals with driver's licenses.

If you or I were running for President and knew that one of our close relatives was living in the U.S. illegally and did nothing about it, the Dems would probably have us thrown in jail for "aiding and abetting" in a criminal act.

Oh well.

Funny how nothing was said when the NYTimes went after Cindy McCain on two ocassions. Or when the NYTimes had absolutely no facts and yet went out and lied about a McCain affair.
