May she rest in peace. My prayers for her family. All politics aside she was a wonderful woman.

God rest her soul. Love your loved ones while they’re still alive.

OMG!!!!!
Sometimes I wonder what’s the difference between DU and someFR.
Are politics so important that we cannot mourn the lost of a human life
People, there are other threads that we can express our political views. If you don’t want to ‘turn off’ the rest of the world and make us look like ‘knuckle draggers’ post elsewhere. Your spleen vents will not win one single vote with undecided.

LOL - thought about switching to that myself. : )

Do you think that Obama acted ‘decent’ by not being with his grandmother when she died? Do you think it was ‘decent’ for Michelle and the kids to not even be bothered to go see her last week?
There is more decency in the margins of Free Republic than in Obama’s political displays of concern for his ‘toot’. He is a phony selfish jerk!!
RIP Toots!!

"All politics aside she was a wonderful woman."
With respect, did you know her personally to make this assessment? She was kept completely away from the press throughout the whole campaign, and was only mentioned during it as the "typical white woman" of whom Obama was ashamed when she, allegedly, didn't like the looks of a black man at a bus stop.
As I say, if you did know her personally, we all would have liked to have known that before today, because her knowledge of Obama's youth have now been lost as completely down the memory hole as Obama's missing years at Columbia.

It sounds like he went to see her just in time. Good for him. He’ll always be glad he did.

It has nothing to do with decency. It has to do with what we know about Obama.
I’m sorry she’s passed and I feel for her family, but the fact that many said that Obama would make this announcement before the election based entirely on Obama’s long record of emotional and psychological thuggery doesn’t help.

Very well said .
I thought I was In DU for a minute while I was reading some of these posts.
His grandmother, may she rest in peace took better care of him, than he has for his Aunt In Boston.

I posted too soon.
I meant that after reading some of the posts, the answer was no for some of the posters.
My apologies. I did not mean to imply that I felt that way -- just disgusted with some of what I'd read.

Now if you bring up the bankrupting the coal industry, it will seem insensitive and cruel.
Bingo. Bringing up anything negative about the Zero will seem that way. Hopefully the poll numbers truly are way off and M/P will still win this thing.

Sorry -- didn't mean to be flippant with your question. I was just disgusted with some of the posts here and was trying to be sarcastic.
Prayers for the family.
