AP stopped reporting a long time ago and is now "warning their side" is losing.
It was to keep the states in the game. Truthfully, the Founding Fathers thought each state would want to put forth their own candidate, and that the House would select most of the Presidents. Turned out differently than they thought, but wise as they were they planned the Electoral College to prevent the popular vote from overriding the will (and interests) of the several states. Imagine if it were just the 13 original states — New York and Pennsylvania would have run roughshod over the 11 other states. The EC was designed to force a candidate to capture more than just 1 or 2 states by populism or guile.
I won't be watching MSNBC until it becomes evident that things are going our way. Hopefully, Olberman's meltdown won't have already happened.
Same reason he was just in Indiana, a state he has no chance of winning. He wants to give the appearance that he can win those states (he won't), but he's counting on the suck up DBM not to declare those states as soon as the polls close (IN's close at 7 PM). This is a ploy to depress GOP vote in the west where the polls are still open.
DON'T BUY INTO THIS - GO VOTE NO MATTER WHAT!
I’m not scared..
Some of the older GOP folks maybe should be cautious however...
I fear no Liberal douchebag
They would if you typed it out as PH0und1N9 PH47h3r2. :-P
lol/ I want a 'win' by 'whatever'; but would prefer both a huge popular vote (restore my faith in the gifts of 'Reason' and those open to receiving such).
Believe as well; had it been a more honest campaign we could have had a 'no doubt about it' and 'Reason wins' ending here.
