Shameless Pathetic Vanity! DO WE REALLY HAVE A CHANCE?
11/03/08 | me

I'm making myself sick with worry. I can't drag myself away from FR, can't get anything done and am worried beyond belief! Do you all honestly think we will pull this out? The thought of Obama winning scares the daylights out of me! I know I should ignore the polls but they are weighing me down. I will hit my knees at 9:00 p.m. and pray to our God that we don't get what we really deserve.

Right on, Ralph. Best call of the year.

Jesus and I determine my course, not the President. This is all window dressing.

I lieu of getting saved, dormee should at least log off FR and go watch a movie or read a good book.

Stay on your knees in prayer, BUT take some comfort from the fact the MSM polls may be totally screwed up based on actual early voting data from Texas. More here

Yes.

If it is God’s will.

And I believe that God’s hand was in the formation, success, and continuation of the United States.

God’s will WILL be done.

Vote, pray, and turn it over to God.

"Just hang onto what Sarah said: “Whatever happens on Nov. 4th will be God’s will.” That’s what I’m hanging onto. And my rifle and 500 rounds of ammo."

Everything that happens is not God's will. God allows a lot of evil because He gave us free will. It's only when considering that God wants us to have free will and therefore God is willing to permit things that are not best for us in order that we have our free will, can you say that everything is God's will.

It wasn't God's will when Israel rejected God as king, but God allowed it. It wasn't God's will when Cain killed Abel, but God allowed it. It wasn't God's will the last time you sinned, but God allowed it. And this election might not result in God's will, but God has allowed us to select these two men as our final choices.

I am utterly terrified. I have been demoralzied by the polls. I think its gonna be a bad night tomorrow.

This country is moving sharply to the left and it scares me.

Yes we have a chance. I also love your ending about “getting what we deserve.”

Have you figured out the American electorate is not exactly a Rock of Gibraltar? This is the same bunch that walked away from our allies in SouthEast Asia and never lost a night’s sleep over it. No guilt, no responsibility. Literally millions dead in a holocaust, millions more enslaved to this day.

America is far better than most, but we are far from perfect. So get out there and vote because it matters.

Steady on soldiers...don’t go wobbly...rise up in faith and declare a mighty victory. Worship and praise the Lord for this mighty victory He will wrought. Stay strong and believe....have faith all.

If an election occurs in the woods and dormee isn't there to see it.........

I think the pollsters and the MSM lead with their chins and things are probably closer than advertised. I am however, concerned that most polls, whether you believe them or not, do favor Obama and while I want Obama to lose more than anything else, I'll deal with an Obama win better than the MSM and all the talking heads would deal with a McCain win.

As a matter of fact, I'm getting to the point where I want to see Obama lose just so I can see the pain and confusion on the face of his cheerleaders.

If the polls are right which I doubt the PUMA's will take us through!

PUMA's are claiming to be between 10 to 18 million usually democrat voters who are instructed not to tell the truth to pollsters who are mostly life long democrats that will either not vote or vote McCain.

There you go—leave it in G-d’s hands. He makes kings of whom he will for His own purposes. Look at King Saul—a rotten king that G-d ordained—until He took His hands off...and Israel got King David to replace him. My wife and I plan on going out to supper tomorrow night and will not turn on the TV to election stuff.. So, we can’t lose no matter what!

I know how you feel, but hang in here. I’ve encountered strangers that have expressed utter fear. It’s an unusual time.

I don’t remember the idea of fear being discussed in prior elections as it is in this one. This transcends politics; it is a spiritual thing. We sense the possibility of something very, very bad.

However, we must have faith. We have been manipulated daily by the MSM and we tend to believe them when we know they are liars.

Polls are almost laughable at times. They rarely turn out to be accurate, yet we watch them, don’t we?

All I can say is I do have hope and if Obama does get in, we have to trust God and pray every day. He has a plan that we are not capable of understanding.

McCain being consistently behind in multiple key states has me worried as well. Still, he has gained some ground in the past week. There has also been the news about Obama’s illegal aunt and his anti-coal comments.

We have a chance. Maybe not a great chance but still a chance.

‘Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!

I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.

When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys.

They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!

He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink.

He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!

On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi’
He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn’t stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT THERE AND VOTE!!!!

The crossover vote is going to be unprecidented in the last 20 years this year D to R.. bank on it. We are winning this thing, stop letting the Goebbelesque propoganda designed to purely to depress republican turn out get to you.

McCain’s taking this thing, and taking it solidly. Look at any poll you want, and I ask you, look only at 2 numbers, 1, the number of D’s polled vs R’s and then compare it to 2004 or 2006 turnouts for the equavalent election that the poll is for, and second, look at the number of undecideds.

Undecideds will break amazingly for McCain, Crossovers for McCain will be huge as well. We aren’t losing folks, we have never been losing this election, its all a PR campaign to prop up a joke of a candidate, nothing more.

Stay motivated, positive and GOTV, nothing more complicated than that.

The keyboard isn't the best place to be tomorrow.

I plan on watching a continuous loop of "The Sound of Music", "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", and "The Apple Dumpling Gang". Contemporary media are 'off limits' for the time being until I can figgure out WHO ATE MAY DAMN STRAWBERRIES!!
