Okay, I drive past three polling places on the way to work. I live in an extremely conservative area in Michigan and the closest polling place to me was packed. I'm talking a big church parking lot full plus cars parked up and down the road for a good 100 or 200 yards. The heaviest I've ever seen. The next place I drive past is still in a conservative area, but is on the edge of a college town. It was also very packed, the heaviest I've seen. The third place I drive past can probably be classified as somewhat urban. It wasn't packed at all. Maybe 5 cars in the parking lot.
I hope this means that conservatives are coming out in droves. The worst case is if it's a bunch of ignorant kids coming out in droves.

My wife just called. Long line in Ada.

Long lines will favor the motivated. People who are "so-so" will see the lines and leave. This may work to our disadvantage if the "so-so" people would tend to break away from the risky candidate(Obama).
Also, I'm noticing FR has turned really slow.

I lived in MI for 10 years; was a UAW member for a few years. Many Union Members do not vote the way the Union wants them to.
Now, what are the chances of a McCain upset in MI this year? Seriously.

Do you think we MI rural and suburbanites can outweigh the voter fraud in Detroit and Flint? I certainly hope so.
My husband voted early this morning and had quite a wait, which is extremely unusual for our tiny, rural precinct (#1, Jackson County). I’ll be going in later.

HUGE turnout in Gaines Township...south of Grand Rapids.. Over 600 have voted, and the place is packed.
Of note, saw a pretty good turnout of young folks...

SOMETHING IS HAPPENING, FOLKS...
But honestly, I’m not sure what...
My Suburban/Rural precinct (Around 1,800 voters) had 390 votes cast at 10:30AM eastern! In 2006, we had 113 cast at 1.30pm!, and 830 total for 2004.
A larger neighboring suburban precinct votes in the same school, and had about 50 in line at that same time!
Turnout is HUGE, and I mean unprecedented.

MI is my surprise state. You just have to think there are a lot of people tired of Dem politics there.
