He called me minutes ago to tell me he couldn't do it. I had changed his mind and he couldn't bring himself to vote for Obama.

Good for you.

And tell your friend "thanks for putting the country first". Also, let him/her know that there is PLENTY of room in the GOP for real patriots who care about the country.

We CAN win!

We WILL win.

Photobucket

Farragut could see the ships pulling back from his high perch, lashed to the rigging of his flagship the USS Hartford. "What's the trouble?" was shouted through a trumpet from the flagship to the USS Brooklyn. "Torpedoes!" was shouted back in reply. "Damn the torpedoes!" said Farragut, "Four bells. Captain Drayton, go ahead! Jouett, full speed!" The bulk of the fleet succeeded in entering the bay. Farragut then triumphed over the opposition of heavy batteries in Fort Morgan and Fort Gaines to defeat the squadron of Admiral Franklin Buchanan.

Come on, now. Bowling's not that bad. ;-)

Relax. There are many good signs out there. Keep the scotch nearby and whatever you do: do not watch TV or listen to the drive-by media. They want you to be depressed and demoralized. Don't give them the satisfaction.

Keep your eyes on PA. Voted with #1 Daughter in Northeast Pa. It took us 2.5 hours more than twice the time of 2004. In our observations and conversations the line leaned more to the right. #3 Daughter voted on PSU Campus, and #1 Son voted via absentee from Afghanistan..5 for the McCain-Palin team. No matter what Philly does; I see PA in the McCain win column.

“I voted a bit after 7 AM in rural MI. It was the heaviest turnout I’ve ever seen. I have no idea if that is good for McCain or Obamanation.”

I think that McCain should win rural Michigan by 70-30, so that seems good for McCain. I know McCain pulled out of Michigan, but there are some faithful Republicans in Michigan that will support McCain/Palin.

It’s unfortunate that McCain was unable to connect with the western mountain states, it would be nice to have that cushion.

I’ve been to that area (beautiful scenery) but I’m posting from far far west, in Chautauqua County.

If the Democrats take the state Senate, as well as hold their majority in the Assembly and the governorship, you can bet I’ll be planning an exit strategy as well. Even if it’s 5 minutes to the south.

I may have just convinced my Dem friend in WI to vote for McCain. She’s not fond of either candidate, but can’t stand Obama at all. She also couldn’t stand Kerry and voted for Bush last election. I made one last plea today to get her to vote. She said she’s going to try to get out of work early enough to try.

Doesn’t matter in Philly. How many whites live there anymore?

Plenty. For example, according to the 2000 census, Philly (greater metropolitan area, including suburbs) has the 2nd largest Italian-American population in the U.S. (497,721), per the National Italian American Foundation's page here.

I think some of those are quite safe, but when Montana shows up as a toss-up, when Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico are almost considered lost, yes, it’s not a pretty picture.

No danger of losing Utah, Wyoming, or Idaho.

Something is going on. I drove through N. Attleboro recently and counted many more McCain signs than Zero signs.

While we might not win Massachusetts, I think this tells us something about the relative enthusiasm of McCain and Obama supporters --hopefully something of national significance.

If Obama takes PA and OH he can win. If he doesn’t take them both, it will be next to impossible for him.

He needs one of them, period.....otherwise it's a very long night for Barry.

If McCain takes Pennsylvania Our Sec. of State Brunner will be very desperate to steal Ohio...she'll keep select precincts in heavily ethnic areas of Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati open to jack up the vote for Barry...and I wouldn't be surprised if she dropped the "Known" 200,000 questionable ballots into the kiddy just to make it impossible to challenge for a recount.

I'm afraid Ohio is going to be Saul Alinsky's wet dream tonight.........

Although, this morning in northern Summit county, I was waiting outside of my polling place for 40 minutes to cast my vote and I got there at 7AM. People were waiting at that same poll at 5:45 am this morning because they thought it opened at 6am instead of 6:30 am.

And with 50,000 votes cast early in columbus...the polls are surprisingly empty...right now according to the local news. Now that could be really good news for our side and bad news for Barry.
