Are the Exit Pollsters Up To Old Tricks?

Are the Exit Pollsters Up To Old Tricks?

I noticed this account of an exit pollster in Stafford, Virginia:

08:32 – AP doing exit polling in Stafford. Talking 4 to 1 to minorities over whites at a Republican precinct (Falmouth). Expect it to be skewed. Don’t trust the exit polls as they start to trickle out.

Only an anecdote, but not promising. Are the exit pollsters aiming for egg on their faces two presidential races in a row?

Exit polling showed Kerry way up in 2004. We can expect the same thing this time with Obama, but McCain will win it!!

I’m not buying anything those bastards in the media are selling. And Team McCain better have its people in Colorado, and New Mexico, Missouri out and about telling folks the exit polls are trash. Don’t believe anything the marxist tell you. It’s all propaganda, all crap.

NRO has a hell of a nerve even bringing up this subject. They were among those who published the bogus exit polls during the middle of the day in 2004 without ever looking at the data which made it obvious in 3 seconds the polls were complete garbage.

Right. I see it on TeeVee all day....

Some reporter in Missouri. When I think of Missouri, I think of cows. (I don’t know why) But a reporter in Missouri goes to StLouis.....inner city StLouis....and interviews 8 black voters. All of them give the “change” BS line and the reporter calls Missouri for Obama right there.

They want change. What... getting up at noon and doing nothing all day is too hard????

Well, you can think of cows, horses, hills, plains, rivers, lakes in Missouri. Corn, wheat soybeans...hillbillies, Baptists...Real America. Missouri is deeply Red outside of KC, St. Louis and sometimes Columbia/Jeff City, although they actually went for Bush in ‘04.

Here’s how important Missouri is, and it’s not in urban St. Louis. It’s the Southwest Missouri Ozarks.

It’s like a job. Everybody wants a job until they actually have to go to work.

Everybody thinks they want change until they get it — nobody likes change.

They always lie. But the real poll today, the one
which will hurt them the most,
the one which they will delay the most to report
so as to discourage conservatives out West from voting,
will be the results from Pennsylvania,
the barometer of what is to come.

Most likely:
they will only report from the DNC/ACORN/BlackPanther controlled
-- nightstick- and terror-controlled--- cities.

Do bears **** in the woods?

I have seen nothing to indicate the MSM and Pollsters have learned anything from 2004. If anything, they’ve lost even more credibility.

It’s true that Conservatives don’t talk to pollsters as much. An Exit Poller in my precinct (very conservative) was lamenting that nobody was talking to him.

Contact the AP and tell them you have observed their bias polling. Report it to Drudge, FoxNews and others. Fight them back at their own game. I’ve been writing to these people for weeks - does it help, maybe not but it is a small thing I can try and do to help.

There are two kinds of exit pollings:

1. Pros who will sell voter information for next election—have no need to release results now

2. Agenda pollsters, like AP, who have no financial concerns for accuracy. They will spin to suppress turnout.

Wolf Blitzed is on CNN babbling about the exit polls in a few minutes. They are going to try to stifle the FL. panhandle white vote. They do it every time. I hope the folks do not fall for it this time.

Oh you’re right....

But that CNN reporter went to inner StLouis and picked those 8 black voters and made it seem like they represented the entire state. He called Missouri for Obama right there because of 8 black voters he interviewed.

I am wathing FoxNews now and they are having a discusion about how the media has SURPASSED Hollywood in its bias. They don’t even care if its obvious anymore.

By news accounts, in some counties and states this year, anywhere from 30% to 50% votes will be either “early” or by absentee ballots. Then, how is the “exit” polling will be anywhere as “representative” as it has been before, especially considering how representative the exit polls were for Kerry in 2004.

I’d say the only thing the exit polls will represent this year is the bias of the media and an attempt to repeat Election 2000, when it was a huge factor in the ensuing mess. Ignore exit polls, deal only with officially counted numbers.

It’s amazing, when I was a kid I always wondered how publications could be so transparently biased, like Pravda and Izvestia. Or how Saddam’s information ministry could spout the most incredible rubbish with a straight face, like anybody would believe him. Now I see it here. Eerie.

Obviously they couldn’t care less about “egg on their faces.” They are desperately trying to skew an election. Winning is worth every effort and chance for embarrassment. It is worth the prospect of jail terms for cheaters, even (just wishful thinking here).

They did this in 2004. Told us that the numbers were so skewed for Kerry that Bush had no chance. Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think we had a President Kerry.

These are designed to influence the voter to stay home.

Get out and vote tonight.

I remember when Giuliani ran against Dinkins and the exit polls all had Dinkins winning. Turned out people were afraid of being seen as being racist for voting Giuliani, so the majority just said they voted Dinkins. Wonder if this has a similar effect on the polls this election? Guess we will have to wait tonight to find out. That’s why it’s a secret ballot. Keep it that way.
