I'll be posting results and analysis on this thread as the Ohio returns come in. There are a couple of wild cards in play this year. First, our new early voting period means that some early results will be skewed, as it appears that a significant proportion of Democrats, especially African Americans, voted early. This will give an advantage to Democrats in the early numbers.
Secondly, a significant number of ACORN registrations were determined to be invalid (like 1/3) and so many of those registratnts, if the vote, will be give provisional ballots. These ballots will only be counted if the regular and early vote margin is too close to call.
I think it’s a bit early to be calling a state like NH for anyone at this point. But we’ll see.
For some comic relief, here is a hillarious video made by my friend Ted in Pittsburgh. He’s a talented musician. He put together a heavy metal song called “Ridin’ Dirty sung by his new lead singer, the “Reverend Jeremiah Wright”
It really gets good at about 3 min and 30 seconds.
That wasn’t the deal. You gave me $20, a pack of Marlboros and a Big Mac and said that Osama would solve all my problems if I stood there like an a-hole all day to vote for him 6 times.
Are you going back on your word?
I am so, so pissed over what happened to me today when voting.
I had to go provisional ballot.....
I called the BOL ans staated that I was just married and had to change my DL name to my married name. THe BOL said no problem, if your address did not change, don’t worry about it.
Went to vote (the poll workers were great, most had red blazers on) I had to do prov ballot.
In OH? A woodchuck can vote...
I am so upset.
I talked to the BOL tonight at the precint I vote at, she told me that someone gave me wrong info.
Hell just called PA
No, not a big Republican stronghold...but only a 56% turnout.
Nothing we could do with the welfare capital of America. If somehow. we could get to 40% in the county, I will dance a jig, then I’ll dance again cause that means we win the state.
Cuyahoga County is what it is now. Back in the days when George Voinovich saved this city, we all worked for a living and less than 10% of the population got paid not to work. Weekends were Saturday and Sunday.
Flash forward to today. 25 years of Democratic monopoly. Manufacturing long gone. tax rates through the roof, most of us still work, but now 25-30% of working aged abled bodied people are getting paid not to work. Weekends now start at 12:01AM Monday and lasts till midnight Sunday. The worst offenders are the ones who laugh at the suggestion to get a job.
How does this change. Leadership changes and people with the nerve to say enough is enough.
I am getting ready to throw up.
That one doesn’t work very well.
Try this one...
I just did.
I'm looking at the McCain counts from various counties that have come in. I'm wondering if McCain is going to get enough votes from the red areas. It's early, we shall see.
Roy is One in a Billion.. I’ve been listening to him for almost 2 yrs now..
None of that now! I’ve done that enough for everyone today (a little under the weather).
From what I have seen McCain took Lake County
What site are you looking at? I’m looking at the State site linked here. So far, most counties have very low percentages in.
Just got done working at the polls in Ohio. Our balance was slightly off, but they said that happens, and they fix it downtown. Anyway, at least in the precinct I worked in, sorting the ballots, McCain seemed to win. Of course, it is a very rid precinct.
She was wrong and color blind.
Looks like Geauga went blue.
I agree. Usually, I don’t bother to volunteer for that particular race, but in 2010 I’m going to work hard to defeat Brunner. I want her gone by the 2012 Presidential election.
Fox News erred and 0bama did NOT take Ohio!
