Screw all of those states. Every one of them is loaded with nothing but useful idiots. Why don’t you conservatives in these states grow some balls? We’ll need you in 2012!
To: SoftwareEngineer
All are deep blue and expected for Obama to take. No big deal.

Susan Collins is useless in Maine. It wouldn’t surprise me if she switches parties.

All based on exit polling.
ABC radio called Pennsylvania for Obama based on exit polls.
Wait until you see the actual results.

Connecticut is made up largely of blue collar towns in the central part of the state with large populations of white and Hispanic Catholics. The NYC suburbs in SW CT are split, with New Canaan and Darien voting GOP, Stamford and Westport Dem. Greenwich was safely GOP until certain folks started arriving from Manhattan in droves about a decade ago (although it still went 52% for Bush in 2004).

Ummmm...it’s only 8 PM (ET), the polls have barely closed. They cannot call anything at this point because people aren’t going to be telling the pollsters the truth.
Count the votes.

Well, I can tell you as a Marylander that with the counties of Prince George’s, Montgomery and the City of Baltimore solidly in the welfare state tank, it pretty much doesn’t matter what the other 19 or so counties do.

Did they call the three for Obama, or did they also call the one for McCain?

In my “Official” betting prediction, that one EV from Maine is what gives McCain 270 votes...

I started my career in IT Security, specializing in encryption/PKI. I figured that a misspelling of “cipher” would be unique. :) Of course, it’s been over 10 years so I’m not quite the girl anymore. Time marches on.
