Early Calls!!! The Game is Still On Don't lose hope. Stand up and FIGHT!

Posted on 11/04/2008 7:11:44 PM PST by wiseprince

This thing is not over. If McCain carries VA and NC this thing will be close. OH was called too early and PA may have been also. This happened during the Primary, Missouri was called for Hillary, I watched it all night as Obama closed in and they refused to change their call. In the morning it had flipped to Obama. The media is using the early calls as a tactic. Don't let it work. If you have the ability, get out the vote. If we carry CO, NV and IA this can still happen. Stand up and Fight!!!

VA is lost— too many dem votes left in Arlington, Fairfax, and Richmond. Obama will win by about 40K.

It seems Baghdad Bob...or at least Kevin Bacon from Animal House (”Remain calm! All is well!”) has made a comeback.

While I would love to think you are right, there is no path to victory for McCain left, even if they were to change Ohio...

“I agree. This stuff is being called way too early.”

Absolutely. Statistics are fine for molecules or other inanimate objects, but not for human reason. There should be NO early calls, only preliminary results with the final total being the final say.

All this projection and early vote announcement really influence the vote out west, IMO.

I guess you didn't get the message per the home page. This is a conservative website. Whining and moaning to the authorities to stifle dissent simply because someone disagrees with you is the same approach the socialist Democrats attempt to employ.

The media HAS screwed it up before, I pray that they have tonight, or that some miracle happens (like California suddenly becomes human) but it doesn’t look good. I was convinced that if Obama won, it was because God needed him there for a reason...this is not good for the U.S., maybe it is supposed to be this way, God help us. He never takes you to something that he won’t pull you through. Anything bad happens to anyone in this country due to terrorism and ALL that voted for Hussein will have blood on their hands.

I agree. I think they called Georgia too early. I’m not saying it will change but it could. If I lived on the West coast I think I would be influenced by the news reports. If I was tired and wanted to get home I’d say oh the heck with it my guy is behind so my vote won’t matter.

McCain hasn’t conceded yet, so it’s not over technically. He should wait until all the votes are in, but it’s probably a formality at this point.

There is only ONE socialist running for President and he isn't McCain.

1.They both support amnesty for illegal aliens. McCain has gone as far as to sponsor legislation with flaming socialist Ted Kennedy.

2. Both candidates support the fallacy of human induced global warming. McCain sponsored legislation with socialist Joe Lieberman.

3.Both candidates support restricting free speech via campaign finance reform. McCain sponsored legislation with socialist Russ Feingold.

4. Both candidates voted for the socialist bail out plan.

5.Both candidates oppose drilling in ANWR.

If those facts don't indicate McCain is a socialist then Obama is a conservative.

I have not given up hope but it looks very grim at the moment. I did not believe (or want to believe) the polls but these are actual numbers coming in now.

This election is an absolute victory for the progressive movement. Many will blame Bush (he sure did not help) but the seed for this tree was planted even before his father was V.P.

I am overwhelmingly sad for my children right now. When our nation turns it face from God and self-determination and looks instead towards government and collectivism it will die. You be the judge on what this will mean.

Thank you for this thread!

Stand up and FIGHT! Amen!

God does not call us to defeat, but to VICTORY. In Jesus' Holy Name, we will not cease in praying to You and thanking You for all of our blessings. You hold each of us in Your mighty hand. We ask You to have mercy on us, forgive us for our trespasses--which are many, Lord, we know--and bring us out of this night with a joyful noise. In the name of Our Risen King, Amen.

“I agree. This stuff is being called way too early.”

I have screenshots from FOX that show MN called for Obama when McCain was ahead and very few precincts were reporting, Montana was called for Obama with no precincts reporting and Michigan with 11% precincts reporting and Obama was ahead of McCain 49% to 48%. Does anyone know of a picture hosting site where I can upload these screenshots so I can post them here?

Ignoring the facts in reply #32 only illustrates the desperation by GOP members to convince themselves they supported a conservative.

How many precincts have been counted in Ohio?
I’ve been watching the SOS website and the count keeps changing. Just went from a difference between O and M of 45,700 to a difference of 42,522.

But I am NOT weak.

The fat lady must sing, and she must sing loud..and after, if it is an Obama win, I’ll live with it.

But not like a sheep.

Waiting for the weakness. Which will come.
