I hope the Networks all have to eat their words

Posted on 11/04/2008 7:32:06 PM PST by mimi from mi

They are calling states way too soon. Look at the states websites for the latest. In Ohio, less than 36% of the votes is in, yet they are calling it for Obama. See:http://vote.sos.state.oh.us/pls/enrpublic/f?p=130:10:0

And even in Pennsylvania, less than half the votes are counted, yet it is called for Obama. See: http://www.electionreturns.state.pa.us/ElectionsInformation.aspx?FunctionID=13&ElectionID=28&OfficeID=1

Don't be fooled by all the propaganda, but to be on the safe side, say a couple extra prayers.

Same here, and I think everyone who made a negative topic tonight should receive a temporary ban during election week two years from now. States are being called way, WAY too early, just like they were with Kerry.

Don't forget the unusually high amount of provisional ballots that will not be counted until the 10th!! Have all of the absentee ballots been counted in Ohio?

I noticed that, too...only 36% reporting and they come to a conclusion?

The networks are untrustworthy.

They did that in 2000, calling Florida for Gore after only 1% reporting...yet, several Bush wins were called “too close to call” for over 1 hour and Bush ended up winning those states by 8% - 10%...

I say again:

THE NETWORKS IN THIS COUNTRY ARE TOTALLY UNTRUSTWORTHY

It is not 36% of the vote, it is 36% of PRECINCTS. Honestly, I am starting to think there are a lot of people here who have never watched an election before.

That is too good to be true...

And I was wrong about McCain's electoral count: It's only 114.

Just checked the Michigan Secretary of State site. There’s hardly been ANY counties/precincts reported.

Why give up so soon? There ARE Christian black people who will not vote for Obama, you know. It’s not a lost cause/Obama win until everything is counted.

I don’t get it. This is worse behavior than last year except for Ohi, in which only 36% of precincts have begun reporting,
O% for NY O% for Pen, 0% Nc etc. People are whining that the the election is lost based on EXIT POLLS? Which we KNOW are as much as 16% overstated for RATS??

Incredible. It’ll be HOURS before we can safely “throw in the towel”, Or maybe even celebrate!!! Glad none of you’s are professional football players. As soon as the team you’re playing against scores a TD, you’d all give up.

When the fairness doctrine gets reinstated by BO, SanFranNana & Dingy Harry, will PMSNBC have to set aside equal time for the conservative viewpoint??

Will Rush be given equal time with Tingly Matthews and psychotic Olbermann??

ABC gives Ohio to Hussein based on 48% and the exit polls...

Let’s hold back on judgement here, folks.

Ohio isnt decided till a lot more votes are counted...

Just rearranging the deck chairs.

The ship is sinking and the life boats are full of RINOs who got their buy outs already courtesy of Bush and his friends.

McCain is actually doing better than I thought he would here, but I’m sure Detroit, Flint and Grand Rapids will take those numbers WAY down.

It’s urban/city against the country folks, as it is around the nation. Sad that.
