An Historic Election

I hope you are right, I don’t know if it is or not. Due to my soon to end work as an attorney, I wrote an email to a race specialist person who is an American who wrote back below. I deleted the names. But I am tired of being punished for the tacky behavior of my ancestors from centuries ago or being labeled for being white or having an Applaichian accent in a Murtha way. I would like to think that we vote for someone based on merit. But I think if we take the time to put labels on someone for race or whatever, we are putting that person up on a pedestal and giving them attention that is probably not warranted instead of listening to what they are saying. I would like to think that it was about the economy and people getting oversaturated to the point that they could not listen anymore to campaign speeches and people wanting a change and just frankly extremely poor campaigning along with fraud and spending alot of obscene amount of money. You are right it was not about race at least it wasn’t for me. I didn’t vote for EB (Emperor Barry) due to merit (lack of) and his arrogance alone combined with the illegal alien issue.

I guess it depends on whether or not you actually understand why affirmative
action was created in the first place. When Kennedy implemented Executive
Order 10925, he did so to try and address hundreds of years of discrimination
and systematic denial of opportunity in a rather limited way. The backlash that
occurred in response to it reflects what I would call the “pathologies of
whiteness,” an irrational and systematic distortion of historical and
institutional facts. For example, 10925 specifically dealt only with companies
that did business with the federal government, and assumed that “all things
being equal,” African Americans should be given preferential treatment. The
idea the “unqualified minorities and women” were taking jobs away from
“qualified white men” was simply a response to the fact that the systemic
privileges that whites had enjoyed for centuries were being challenged (though
not really dismantled). Furthermore, the same people who for centuries denied
that discrimination was a problem now became enraged by the possibility that
they would no longer be given the preferences that they had enjoyed (whites
weren’t screaming about preferential treatment when they received it, but
suddenly it was a bad thing). There was also no discussion of the other forms
of preferential treatment that whites continued to enjoy (such as legacies in
education and the “peter principle” in organizations), and white frankly there
were lots of unqualified white men who had been hired and advanced at the
expense of more competent white men. That’s always been a fact of life.

So, the real question is, does Obama being elected present really address four
centuries of systematic discrimination? Take a look at infant mortality,
incarceration, and unemployment rates and you’ll find your answer. Obama is the
classic “good black” that white people love to hold up as an example of how, if
we (black people) just did what we were supposed to do all the problems of
racism would go away. But black people did not create racism: white people
did. And in doing so they have violated the laws of God as well as the laws of
nature that they claim to hold so dear. All in all, I think that white people
know that they have gained enormous advantages at the expense of people of color
all around the world, and are implicated in some of the greatest crimes against
humanity ever perpetrated by one group of people against another, and are
fundamentally ashamed of this: and shame, unlike guilt, incapacitates, which is
why whites all over the planet have rationalized and will continue to
rationalize racism. Until that changes, we’ll need a whole lot more than
affirmative action if we are to make right what has been done in the name of
white supremacy.

They should be. I am starting to believe some of the things i should never have read. “And I saw when the Lamb opened ONE OF
THE SEALS, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts

How’s this one: As long as this land is ruled in righteousness, no wars will be fought on our shores.

With the socialist in power here “now, we can expect a bunch of foreign bullies to try and push him around. It will probably work.

He also wants to castrate our military. How will we be able to fight the foes of this country with no military, and our own power to fight back hampered by gun control?

Right I know. That is why I am begining to believe the prophecies I have read. You know the potential scenario you just stated is being talked about and thought about all across the country today. Our worst nightmares could possibly come true. Behold, a pale horse.

With such a liberal in the White House, I’m afraid to guess what might happen, from which direction, and when. It’s going to get uglier before it gets better.
