I turn to the Bible above all things. But this is one Reagan book that always gets me back into the fighting spirit when I am down.
Reagan despised communism, and made it his mission in life to destroy it. He succeeded. His tactics are discussed in this book, and may prove useful during the Obama administration. .
Christ is my savior and redeemer. Reagan is my hero.
It is nice to be able to relive the glory years.
Strictly for entertainment......of course.
Cool. Thanks. Tine to get back to basics and inspiration for the vision we hold of this great country and the contribution and tactics of our previous great leaders and peoples. Teach us about going forward. We will need all the help we can get. God will give us that strength and this election has given clarity. Thanks again. I will check them out.
Thanks....went looking in my “library” and found it....will NOW read it!!!
Looks fun :-).
Thanks. I think we will learn how to chart the future by looking to the past.
I’ve been reading the complete works of Robert A. Heinlein, and see no reason to stop now!
F. A. von Hayek’s “The Road to Serfdom”, which has now become an express tollway.
Other things people might enjoy:
The Origins of Totalitarianism - Hannah Arendt
Return of the Primitive:The Anti-Industrial Revolution - Ayn Rand
Economic Facts and Fallacies, Basic Economics - Thomas Sowell
i’ll try some survival guides perhaps. ha! anyone know how to clean and cook squirrel?
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus Name.
On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.
When darkness seems to hide His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.
His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood.
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my Hope and Stay.
When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh may I then in Him be found.
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.
I would suggest all Freepers read it. Hayek is a prophet.
Also suggested: Atlas Shrugged, The Fatal Conceit, Socialism by Mises and Animal Farm.
Remember that frog you cut up in high school? Squirrels aren't much bigger. Full disclosure - I have never cut up anything bigger than chickens, and someone else killed them. If I ever have to do a deer, I'll approach it as if it were a giant Freshman Biology frog. At least I won't have to label each part in neat little letters.
After you get it cut up, meat is meat. Wild animals don't carry much fat so it would dry out easily.
