Good stuff. I will watch this entire discussion and be sharing it with some morons who still can’t grasp it.
Well, this is just the rough draft. We are think tanking this as we speak. It will have to be a movement, as all these waves are. It won’t be easy, I’ll grant you that. And it will not happen overnight.
We must learn the patience of the Communists, if we are to defeat them.
Nothing terrifies the Communist state more than a proletariat who has gotten wise and puts the brakes on the revenue stream.
Usually when that happens they totalitarians ratchet it up to their next phase - forced labor camps. At that point, it pretty much goes Wolverine from there.
The socialists' system will always be overwhelmed by demand. Socialism begets infinite demand, regardless what it is. It's just human nature. Why work when the pies are free.
And then ... the money runs out, no country can print it forever.
Socialism doesn't fail, it just runs out of other people's money to give away. FDR is the best example of turning what was a bad situation into very near calamitous one. His 'New Deal' was the biggest raw deal America ever got. It did nothing to help the economy, it just paid people for what was essentially make work projects that had no lasting economy impact. That's the liberal blind spot, they don't trust people.
Reagan sapped what little extra money the Soviets had by spending on technology the Soviets could not match, because their economy could not produce it. Their economy could not generate more excess cash, implosion and total collapse.
We need to find that one pressure point, I am sure there will be plenty of options. Find it with the right timing, and poof goes the socialists. It may well be global warming.
If the current solar trends continue, before long it will be cold enough that everyone but the densest moron will realize that it's a hoax -- Pay more in taxes so government can pretend to control the weather. You couple that with the stupidity of the no drill policy and the idiocy of alternative fuels and it may in total be the key. Oil sprang up after it was clear Obama was going to win, the plan all along, so the need for cash by the oil producers is severe enough, they will constrict supply to raise prices.
I would like to see a lot more from our side analyzing this an discussing how Socialism depends on willing slaves to work it and if they don’t how it can quickly fall apart.
Then they have only two choices;
1. Admit failure and that Capitalism was correct.
2). Attempt to move into the totalitarian state and full Soviet model.
When the market gets crazy, you should "park" your money. When the marxists get crazy, you should "park" your labor. I'm thinking of taking out a nice big student loan and heading back to school until this whole things blows over. That way I remove myself from the tax base but I don't take a hit to the resume.
Socialism in all it's forms cannot tolerate communications channels that are not controlled by the state. The fax tree had as much to do with collapsing the Soviet Union as did other things. So we need to protect talk radio and the Internet.
The reason why we lost is because the electorate doesn’t realize the danger socialism poses. Our public education system and our liberal university professors have successfully indoctrinated our populace to see socialism, not as evil, but utopian. They’ve taught us the evils of capitalism and the arrogance of America. They’ve shown us that Christianity is a silly superstition and environmentalism is hip and cool.
My most conservative friends are articulate and intelligent. They also do not have a college degree.
That will take years to reverse. Even if Obama would have lost, there would have been another Obama, perhaps one that would have been tougher to beat.
Any solution would involve our education system. Conservatism needs to be marketed. Young patriots and Rush-babies are the future of the conservative philosophy.
It is the new counter-culture, and it needs its share of icons ands iconoclasts. It needs to be cool. Otherwise, any political victory is liable to be short-term, spitting in the wind.
Exactly my personal play in this game that started intentionally when the Telco industry decided to send my job to India right before Christmas last year.

I went back to school on one of Clinton’s renamed programs called Workforce Investment Act. (Doesn’t really pay for it, I still take student loans from Wachovia or Wha-?)
But stay the course. Get a higher paying job eventually and somehow play the Charlie Rangle game. (Just kidding, but I don’t like Joe the Biden’s idea of being patriotic right now)
Buy gold, better yet, figure out a way to get paid in gold.

I almost punched some 20-something that was wearing a “cool and stylish” red shirt with a soviet seal and hammer and sickle today. I thought better of it, but I really should have challenged him about it. He would have said “just chill, dude, it’s just a shirt.” and I would have been the jerk.
I used to laugh at sentiments like this, but This country has gone downhill bad in my adult lifetime and I’m only 32.

Problem is after this bailout has been signed the first years of an Obama Administration will look good. At least on the surface.

You know, coming from a military family, I don’t know how this -expletive- myth got started. Way back in the 1950’s we knew they were going broke. Ike, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Carter, et al, all knew it right down to Reagan. Heck the biggest confirmation came when Nixon and Brehznev? Kruschev? met for some show in Moscow detailing the “great advancements” the Soviets claimed to have made overall and Nixon saw the cracks.
This deification of Reagan as the “commie buster” and holiest of all conservatives is counter-productive. Reagan is the idiot that helped the most to whore out conservatism in the name of power. Newt, G.W., and McCain are just the continuation of that policy of selling the party’s soul in the name of power.
I swear, I don’t understand many “conservatives” today. Start acting like Conservatives -expetive-!
The Marxists just defunded and bankrupted America with their “Economic Pearl Harbor”. Rising oil prices leading into the election (until bubble burst), and collapse of the financial system this summer/fall were brought about by ‘overseas’ interests.
