One of the aides tells CNN that campaign manager Rick Davis fired Scheunemann after determining that he had been in direct contact with journalists spreading "disinformation" about campaign aides, including Nicolle Wallace and other officials.
"He was positioning himself with Palin at the expense of John McCain's campaign message," said one of the aides.

cnn can drop dead. The only person McCain should have been trashing is the commie bum in office soon. He didn't do that because he was all cannon and NO BALLS.
I'm sick of this crap the so called "Republican Party" caving in all the damn time.
Just of note, Condi , Powell are turncoats. I have no respect for either of them. Not because of skin color, because they are jelly fish.

Does that mean he was supporting Palin and sticking up for her. And that it wasn’t well received because it was contrary to Mac’s positions. I can see it.

Last night I'm watching these "calls" with zero real votes tabulated and I'm thinking "They're going to have to back out of PA! That can't be right. We know for a fact the red areas turned out." So I'm waiting and hoping for some fight.
Here comes that lame Nicole Wallace and says, "Obviously we'd hoped the PA numbers would be better!"
Wrong damn answer at that point of the night. You say,
"THESE NUMBERS ARE FREAKIN' WRONG, WE'RE GONNA WIN THIS STATE, AND IF YOU BUY MICHAEL BARONE'S SLIMY EARLY CALLS, THEN YOU'RE A FOOL!"
If you're losing, what do you care if you have to later go out and say, "Yes, we lost PA?" Big deal!

McCain really abused Palin during this presidential election. He had her do a lot of stupid things that undermined her image without improving his electoral prospect. McCain the man is a wonderful person. But it is long past time for McCain the politician to stroll into the sunset.

I guess McCain’s campaign really was a disaster.
Well, Reagan had a great 2 campaigns, Bush 41 had one. Then a disaster. Clinton had 2 good campaigns with a Dole disaster and then Gore had a disaster with Bush having a brilliant campaign. Then Kerry Imploded and Bush survived. Now the Dems get a great campaign and the GOP imploded.
The problem I see is that the Dems are so blinded by Zer0 that they are bound to run a good campaign in 2012 while the GOP campaign people are busy with mutally assured destruction.
Has ANY GOP person besides Rove run a really good campaign lately? I actually don’t think Schmidt did too bad with the crap they were handed, they would have won without the bailout crash IMO, but he is probably toast now. Although the campaign is looking worse in retrospect by the day.
I hope Jindal has a good right hand man picked out. Palin is going to have a hard time finding people she can trust IMO.
With Romney likely toast, looks like Jindal in the pole position with Palin 2 carlengths back. Is there anyone else who can pull onto the lead lap?

He didn’t have one. It’s his aides fault.
But they want to be hired again in the future. So they want to be able to say “Palin’s fault,” not their own.

There are some good campaign people out there and there are some really bad consultants.
If I was going to run a campaign I would pay the money and have Ed Goeas run my campaign like he did for Congresswoman Mary Fallin. She had a campaign manager but Ed was the consultant who called the shots.

Senior campaign officials blame Schuenemann specifically for stories about the way Wallace and chief campaign strategist Steve Schmidt mishandled Palin's rollout Of course Nicolle Wallace and chief campaign strategist Steve Schmidt did grossly mishandle Palin's rollout, but RINO losers like those two and McCain have their fweelings hurt by the truth.

To: Crimson Elephant
I tend to question these MSM reports about troubles within the McCain campaign. Keep in mind MSM wants to distract people from their failure to vet Obama. What better way to brainwash the public as to why McCain lost, then to say McCain lost because of disagreements among the people in the campaign.
For myself I believe it is difficult for either party to have a longterm Senator or Representative as their nominee. Those Senators or Representatives have had to compromise too many times to get a piece of legislation passed.
Every compromise becomes a skeleton in their closet that will be used against them in a Presidential Election.
