GOP stayed home relatively speaking those that didn’t go turncoat

Mark Levin said that the 'big turnout was LESS then 2004's turnout.

He said that O got a bit more of Kerry's numbers and McCain got lot less of W's.

The GOP needs to rebuild, but first they need to find out what kind of party they want to be??

Half-a-fag is a common expression in New York. It’s a translation from the Italian phrase “mezzo finocchio”.

The “half” does not mean partial in this case.

It denotes that the subject is not even man enough to be a complete fag.

You will hear it used in mob movies and shows like “The Godfather” and “The Sopranos”.

'What are we doing wrong in the NORTHEAST?' should be the question the GOP needs to ask. They need to do some SOUL SEARCHING before 2010 or we will be losing more seats...(18 lost this year!!).

We might stay a MINORITY PARTY if we don't get UNITED. I believe the Dems are becoming united, but we are breaking up - I'm worried that we won't survive after 2012.

WTKK-FM (96.9) host Jay Severin played a clip of Obama’s acceptance speech, then told the president-elect to “go screw yourself.”

My sentiments exactly.

I do not believe that the election was lost in the middle.

I do... I think the right of center moderates (6-7 on a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being Liberal and 10 being Conservatives), is not happy with the GOP anymore. Conservatives are different in different parts of the country we are Free Market here, in the bible belt they are Social. We need to unite and see how we can become a national party - yes from Maine to SanFrancisco, because if we don't CONSERVATIVISM will not be around. I do not want to see that day!!

Big Government anything, even conservatism, is questionable, but small and limited government, pro-Constitution conservatism is a winner.

Amen, conservatism is not dead yet in the Northeast. It might look it, but until we conservative unite, you'll see us stay blue!!

New Englanders wants free markets and lower taxes but here -- we are mostly independents, because both parties views aren'tin touch with us. (Democrats views on the economy/taxes and energy, republicans on societal.) I believe we can help turn the house if we stop worrying about issues that should not be governmental but states rights, and worry about what is the best for the USA.

Those who want to tuck tail and skulk away may do so, but I intend Continue to fight, to discredit and try to bring Obama down.
.

“Reagan reminded us that we are always just one generation away from tyranny and loss of freedom. We must continue to fight the good fight.”

This election was stolen by a Muslim/Marxist who had the power of millions of dollars worth of illegal campaign funds, the most powerful black radical racists, Muslim terrorists and America haters on the globe behind him.

He won’t bask in the glory of his victory in peace. We intend to go after him:

I hope you are correct, BigGirl!! Even here we need to win seats - until we get New England back - we won’t be a national party.

the half-a-fag

Please don't use the 'f' word, unless you are talking about CIGARETTES ( a fag is a british term for a cigarette).

Granted his IQ is comparable to a cigarette's butt!! But...Please don't use that word!! It is hateful!

I was making a joke, of course, but I really appreciate the information as I love language and I'd not heard that usage before. I've seen the word finocchio in Italian cookbooks referring to "fennel", but I don't recall hearing the alternative usage, even after having seen the Godfather movies countless times. Thanks.

How about this, I will acknowledge he is the president, but I won’t respect him. Respect is earned, and he hasn’t earned it in my book. Nor will he ever.

For me it’s cut and dried: he’s pro-choice to an extreme and I will never respect someone like that. He’s also a socialist, which I despise, again I can’t respect that. I can go on and on, but you get the point.

I'm late for class, so I'll answer this later, but in the meantime, roamer_1 might have an answer for you.

[MaineConservative:] I believe we can help turn the house if we stop worrying about issues that should not be governmental but states rights, and worry about what is the best for the USA.

I will respectfully disagree. That states rights are observed would be best for the USA. We do ourselves no favors in compromise, not where principle is at stake. That is the unhappy result of many years of Bakerite big-tentism, which causes us to see that sacrifice as being needful.

I am fully convinced that the way forward is Reagan Conservatism, as it has been all of my political life- there is no other thing that makes a bit of sense to me at all, and this election serves to prove it yet again.

Reaganism requires that one treat each of the factions of Conservatism as if it was one's own- Even though I am primarily a socon, I would NEVER vote for a candidate that did not fully meet the requirements of all three pillars of Conservatism

It is that insistence that makes us all powerful. The reason it is powerful is the strong appeal of the resulting candidate- These are the candidates that everyone will be happy to vote for, because they are already vetted by the various factions and found to be desirable- not minimally acceptable now, but DESIRED.

And it is the compromise candidate that makes us weak because some faction is not served, and therefore will not vote, leaving us with weak victories and candidates who must compromise further to stay in office.

And the quality of service is much better. Nearly to a man, the Congressmen who opposed the bailout, those who lead the way on drilling, those who stopped amnesty, and etcetera... Most of those stalwart men are Reaganites. Would that we had been patient enough to insist upon that caliber for every Republican in those halls, as we would no longer be in trouble if it were so.

That is the beauty of the Reagan Coalition, FRiend. No conservative must take a back seat. No principle must be sacrificed. All of us have a seat at Reagan's table. No compromises but for the RINOs. And it is always the right thing to do. Every single time.

That IS what is best for us, that IS what is best for America. Our way forward is where we have already been.

Johnny Fontane: Oh, Godfather, I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do.

Don Corleone: [shouts] You can act like a man! [he slaps Johnny]

Don Corleone: What's the matter with you. Is this how you turned out? A Hollywood finocchio that cries like a woman. [Don Corleone imitates him sobbing]

Don Corleone: "What can I do?" [cut to Tom who is laughing]

Don Corleone: "What can I do?" What is that nonsense. Ridiculous.
