Arizona Sen. John McCain was hammered by the Latino vote, hurting him in battleground states of Florida, Nevada, Colorado and New Mexico as he lost his presidential bid to Barack Obama.
Obama took two-thirds of the overall Hispanic vote and McCain got 32 percent, according to exit polls conducted by NBC News. George Bush got 44 percent of the Hispanic vote in 2004.
McCain also didn’t fare well among younger and working-class voters and did not do as well as Bush with whites, middle-class and older voters.

Hispanic legal immigrants are the enabling network and employers for the illegals and often have illegal aliens in their nuclear and/or extended families. Do you really think they want cousin Tito to be sent back to Mexico?

McCain got shellacked because Obama outspent him 8 to 1 $650m to $80m. He should not have gone for Federal financing. Reagan would have lost if he had been outspent 8 to 1.
I guess I can take that a couple of ways .... At least McCain could still compete in Arizona. He'll finish out his term there, and after that, who knows? He and everyone else with an English surname may be done there, as they almost already are in New Mexico. His great-grandchildren may have to fight to keep Arizona in the Union and enemy adventurer powers out.
My favorite scenario is separatist revolt, or make that revuelta, followed by Mexico's going to the U.N. and several big powers volunteering to help Mexico mix in under a U.N. resolution.
That would be a spectacular donnybrook. Extremely dangerous to us, too.
Well, thing these things were 'in process' of being hammered out; but we needed a President, with time; to do just that.
That said, the 'Left' defined McCain; an he let them. He did not fight the fight against the real barbarians at our door; and they were not the Mexicans; but rather the radical Left.
Meantime, and 'due time'. . .thanks to their places securely lodged in Congress and now our White House; our Senators and Congressmen; will no longer need us! IMHO.
