Matthews is running for the Senate from Pennsylvania. A news network with integrity would drop him until he’s done campaigning.

Chris Matthews: “Our Job (Journalists)Is To Make This Presidency Work”

AYFKM?? After they did everything in their power to destroy the Bush presidency? It’s time to repeal freedom of the press since these days its just a tool for America hating Leftists.

Matthews thinks he's part of the Obama team - he's not. If Chris quit his job and was replaced by John Q Citizen - the next day, John Q would have more power and access than Matthers.

Sometimes journalists confuse the position they hold - with who they are. Nothing's sadder than seeing a journalist who was welcomed into the halls of power being stunned by chilliness the day after he retires or changes jobs. It was never "him" it was the power behind the position. Smart journalists know that - Matthews is an idiot.

Chris Mathews was upset at the criticism saying “Our Job (Journalists)Is To Make This Presidency Work”.

I agree. Now Chris Matthews and other liberal journalists can quit their jobs and work for Obama. This will open up a bunch of jobs for people that actually want to report the news in the MSM.

At least in the old regimes the ministry of propaganda paid hacks to write their junk. I don't know that we've seen a free press willingly become the propaganda arm of a regime.

Talk Radio and the internet, for all its tendentiousness, has turned out to be a better and more even-handed source for news. Traditional media realizes they are bleeding out watchers / readers and is trying to cling to a liberal audience.

After this election everyone realizes what they've done and they have no credibility. People of a certain persuasion may still enjoy seeing their prejudices reinforced in impressive columns of ink and the utterances of news personalities, but no one will necessarily believe them anymore.

IT will be interesting to hear Mathews campaign. As I understand it, the family backgroung is all Vietnam age males with nobody man enough to serve in uniform; I wonder if dad dodged military service as well.
