Great, great read which captures my sentiments better than I could have ever articulated them.

Bush never should have thought he could work with the Democrats. He should have worked to destroy them.

Bush didn’t stand up for himself and us. Neither did McLame. Neither did the GOP.

THIS - IN A NUTSHELL - IS THE BLOW TO THE 'NAIL ON THE HEAD!

Yup.

Last night, Fred Barnes said that the McCain campaign didn't didn't have the healthcare and education plans to compete with Obama's... and that they would have to “address this” for the next election. I just about puked my supper!

The only fight Bush wanted was overseas in the desert. He rarely defended his own party or constituency.

“We will never beat it back until the watered down bi-partisans are flushed from the system. Thomas Jefferson loved partisanship. Hugo Chavez does not. That should tell us all we need to know about this flawed path our party has been on for many years. Tuesday, our aisle reaching chickens came home to roost”

BINGO!! great morning coffee read. Thanks for posting it. I hope our republican leadership is listening.

The only fight Bush wanted was overseas in the desert.

GW Bush had one major goal -- to rehabilitate his daddy's presidency in its failure to march in to Baghdad and remove Saddam Hussein during Gulf War I.

GW Bush found an excuse to march in to Baghdad and remove Saddam Hussein. The problem then arose that he could not find an exit strategy. As a result, he got bogged down in Baghdad, making the Iraq War one of the longest in our history -- and it is still going on as GW has only two months remaining in his 8-year presidency.

GW Bush tried to rehabilitate his daddy's legacy, but in failing, he may have sealed the fate of his own presidential legacy -- one of the lowest approval ratings in the history of the presidency.

And one issue that Bush in particular and the Republicans (with some exceptions) absolutely refused to deal with was
illegal immigration. If Obama provides amnesty and fast track to citizenship, the Democrats just got 10 million new voters.
It will be difficult if not impossible for a Republican, even a RINO, to overcome that advantage. An advantage to the Democrats that may exist for 40 years or so.

Giving liberty to 25 million people, destroying their tyrant and his sons (who deflowered young girls at will) and bringing to light the killing of over 400,000 and maiming many more not to mention a another bookend of liberty (the other being Israel) in a neighborhood of loons, is about his daddy's legacy... (sarcasm off)

We all knew the NEW TONE was a NICE thing to THINK about....but AFTER Bush played so nice and they STILL kicked sand in his face at every turn, he should have TONED DOWN that NEW TONE. I have a feeling that LAURA, a moderate Democrat, was behind this crap.

Exactly - witness the standoff the GOP waged in the House this summer regarding drilling. THAT is precisely what our representatives should be doing for the American people - watching out for our interests, serving the people, and standing firm on our principles. Trying to compromise with Dims never works because the Dims’ idea of compromise is totally one-sided: Republicans must capitulate.

Freeing Iraq was a great thing, but the end game should have been thought out.

We were drifting after we took Iraq and did not have the guts to suppress the terrorists lest we 'offend' someone.

It became a PC war, run by the State Dept.
