Boycott of FOX

I propose that we punish the FOX Network for its hatchet job on Sarah Palin.
For one week beginning at 3:00 PM today no one tunes them in. We will demonstrate the power of conservatives when their ratings plummet dramatically.
Will you join me?

Another worthless boycott attempt.
Brit Hume was the last bastion of real and legitimate news on FNC. He was the last link I had to FNC.

I never understood why anyone really thought Fox News gave conservatives a fair shot. I used to watch it every now and then and thought it sounded like a clone of the other networks.
I quit watching it years ago and haven't missed it a bit.

Right, because to join together to force change is what, unAmerican. If you don’t want to join, get off the thread.

People should call Hannity at 3pm on his radio and ask him how he fails about the smear and hit job that his network is attempting to do on Sarah, and IS HE going to stand up and defend her against his own news network???
To: All
Have not been watching Hume for several months, BOR for close to two years. I will still probably watch Hannity, who has carried the water. I stopped watching Fox and Friends long ago.
Someone I have started to like is Greta, but now that the election is over, I will probably watch her less, just because of the types of stories she normally does. Not her. She has been extremely fair to Palin.
To: veritas2002
You can count me in. I refuse to watch any TV . Been listening to the radio.

I hate them all. Fox was my only hope but they’ve gone over to the darkside. The only show I’ve watched on Fox for the past few months is Fox and Friends. They’re the only true fair and balanced people on that station.

Good idea. Send this to every conservative blog and we will spread a boycott of FOX so that they won’t know what hit them!
To: veritas2002
"For one week beginning at 3:00 PM today"
I don't think it works that way - they don't have a "meter" to tell them how many people are tuning in at any given time.
It's done with "ratings", i.e. surveys...i.e. polls...and we all know how reliable they are.
There are only certain times during the year (excepting internal polls, which are naturally skewed) when they are taken.
The only thing that will affect them immediately is emails and letters. Now if you really want to get their attention, tell them what you think about them, and then "cc" CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC/MS-NBC.
They don't want their competition knowing that their "fan base" is upset...especially right now.
And while your at it, please tell O'Riley, Sean, and the rest to let their damn guests finish answering the questions they ask, and stop talking over each other. This doesn't work with human hearing with all the voices coming from the same source...you can't single out a voice by direction like you can in a crowded noisy room...it turns into gibberish. That's usually when I change the station and watch the Game Show Network.

I had given up on television long ago, except to use it to watch DVD’s of my own choosing. We have literally hundreds of channels and there is nothing watchable except for TCM, because that channel shows movies that were made when Americans were proud and when the future was still bright. I get my news from talk radio and Free Republic and my entertainment from activities more important to the mind and body than TV has to offer. I join in your call for boycott, and go one better, tun off the TV!

I agree. I’m tired of their slant towards the left. Its been going on for months. Guess they don’t need us Republican viewers. The only reason I voted Republican this time was because of Sara & not McCain. McCain is just a Moderate Dem. We need to get to get rid of the primaries that determine who are Republican candidate would be like it happened this time.

I agree. Except for Cavuto and Hannity, they are starting to become CNN jr.
I used to watch O'Reilly but after watching him suck up to Obama I tuned him out. I can listen to Hannity on Sirius.
This should be an easy boycott.

Neil is good and fair. So are the three on Fox and Friends. The rest of them have gone to the dark side with the MSM. You watch though....they’ll be the first station to blast Obama for anything they don’t like. They anointed him and now they’ll try and crucify him. They want the ratings.

Thread bump.
This idea is a gentle reminder and nudge to me to BE TRUE to conviction.
I am going to be focusing A LOT more to that end, SERIOUSLY, for these next four years. I will think TWICE about everything that I do, before I do it, to cognizantly do THE right (and easy, really,) thing with all habits and dealings.

I am going for the Triple Dog Boycott....
Not much tv going on around here these days. Definitely haven’t been impressed with Fox. I don’t get up regularly for Fox & Friends (too early here)...are they joining in on the pile-on?
To: LibFreeUSA
We built these clowns, they betrayed us. How many Freepers used to go and switch store tvs to fox and then leave it on? How many of you promoted Fox to everyone you knew?
We need a new tv news channel that is completely conservative. We have the talent. Rush, Ingraham, Levin, Hannity, Beck, Boortz, and others. Until then, I am cancelling cable.

Dan, Fox got its reputation and huge rating because they used to report from the heartland....on issues normal, real, hard working, and patriotic American cared about.
Once they go them hooked, they dumped them.
They moved back towards a traditional New York, DC, mindset. They only report for their peers in NY now.

Of all of them, Greta has been the best — fair, honest and straight down the middle. She even got mad last night (or so I read) about Karl’s gossip report. I’m done with them as well. Karl Cameron ruined it for me, plus the all stars on Brit’s panel are so inside the beltway stupid now they are unwatchable.

You bet! I’ll boycott them. Everybody needs to send an email to FOX telling them how DISgusted we are about the Palin story because that’s actually what they pay attention to.
To: Yaelle; veritas2002
I didn’t see Greta last night, but it’s my understanding she defended Sarah last night. I am highly disappointed in every one else.
I shouldn’t be surprised. I boycotted Fox for months after the primaries since they tore down real conservative candidates and built up the rinos. I should have known they’d be back to their old tricks. How can we keep Fox News from messing up the next Republican primary and tearing down every decent candidate? I know many conservatives whose only source of news is Fox, and they simply regurgitate their talking points. During the primary debates, these people would simply parrot what the commentators or “undecided” voters in Frank Luntz’s “studies”. How do we counter the rinos and get out the pure, unfiltered conservative message? I don’t want our future nominees chosen by the media.
