2004 AND 2008 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION RESULTS BY COUNTY

2004 AND 2008 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION RESULTS BY STATE

On November 4, 2008, God answered the prayers of millions regarding the American people being touched and persuaded to not elect Barack Hussein Obama.

...and the answer was no.

We conservatives have a lot of work to do, but now there is nothing for it but to hitch up our trousers and go to it. We must continiue to work, educate, stay prepared, and to pray, even as so many eloquently and spiritually did leading up to this election. And we must continue to work as as so many did so hard throughout the election. We must continue to do these things for our children and grandchildren, and we must never lose hope or faith.

Barack Hussein Obama's vistory was not a near thing. No one can say it was stolen...even if a few hundred thousand votes likely were...which is a travesty. But the win was much larger than that. It was not a Reagan style blow out, but it was very convincing. The American people have chosen and they have done so by a significant majority and a large electoral vote.

There were many reasons for that choice, not the least of which is the huge numbers of people who are already hooked on the public largess and who are entangled and emshed in its binding chords to vote for whomever promises them more.

Obama promised more of the public largess to these people and it is likely that their numbers will grow under his administration.

In addition, the DNC, the Obama campaign, and the complicit MSM, framed the election around what I consider a lie that Bush was "bad" and we needed to change away from anything remotely similar to him. Millions of people bought into this and far, far too many Republicans were distnacing themselves from BUsh, rather than defenind him. While Bush has made some mistakes, some of them significant, in general his administration has not been as terrible as it has been made out to be at all.

We have not been attacked again. No spin can change that fact. George BUsh has defended America and done a very credible job of doing so and taking the fight to our terrorist enemies who are hiding in holes.

In addition, 40-60 million people who have never tasted freedom now do, and in a part of the world where they can be our allies and bring a watershed change for the better where it is most needed.

Finally, up until this housing and credit crisis, which has been severe, and which is a direct result of democratic initiatives, our economy under Bush has soared.

But the mindless craving for change, institued by and egged ob by the DNC and the MSM, which has produced this vote, IMHO, may lead to unimaginable terror here at home...I pray not.

Millions more voted for Obama simply because he was black. And not just liberal or black Americans. Millions of heretofore conservative leaning people felt this was some kind of historic duty and the result certainly is historic and despite his horrible ideology, does historically represent a watershed occurrence which in and of itself may well say good things about our nation and where we have come on race...but history may well mark their choice as a terrible one...again,

I pray we avoid the worst horrors of his brand of Marxism, but it looks likely that we will live with it for the next four to eight years and the terrible consequences it will bring.

I must say in sttaing this that I will not be like the hatefilled Democrats and hope for ill on my country so that my political ideology can be advanced. That kind of thinking is a cul-de-sac which leads nowhere but down. I honestly hope America prospers and that OBama will institute poilicies which will proposer her and defend her. If he will, I will support him in so doing.

My fear is that he will not, and in those areas, I will oppose him and speak out and try to orgnaize others to do so through reasoned dialog and the lawful process as long as it remains open to us as free American citizens to do so.

Having said all of that, there are a couple of reasons and glimmers for hope in the election.

First, Democrats were kept from a 60 seat, filibuster proof senate. The Republicans, if they have the courage and the will, can hold up the worst legislation and we need to encourage them with all of our strength to do so.

Second, and IMHO, even more importantly, it seems that all of the Bans on Gay Marriage will pass in the three states they were up for vote as constitutional amendments. This will be critical for the future of our children and grandchildren and for the sanctity of marriage and the marriage ceremonies conducted in our churches. God in Heaven be thanks for that. It gives us hope in avoiding a complete moral breakdown

In the midst of continuing to work hard for the conservative and all-American principles of liberty, protection of life, self reliance, fiscal responsibility, the free market, faith in God, fundamental moral values, strong defense, energy independence, and protecting our borders, I pray for our nation, and pledge myself within my own sphere of influence to continue to work for her welfare.

My prayer to God in Heaven is that we shall all do the same wherever and whenever we can, and that God, at some future date, will recognize and bless these efforts and our sincere pleas to Him, and bless us to turn things back around.

We most probably are going to see very difficult and trying times before that happens and we will all have to be valiant, courageous, virtuous, and most of all, faithful to Him and to the foundational principle He has established liberty upon for it to happen.

At the same time, we should and must support our nation. Pray for its leaders, educate Obama through the legal political process, support him where we can and oppose him where we must.

When the opportunity for reversal of liberal, socialistic policies comes, we must be prepared....because as surely as night follows day, I believe with all my heart that that change will come if we work hard and are faithful to God and the principles our liberty is based upon.

I agree with everything you said except this:

“We have not been attacked again. No spin can change that fact. George BUsh has defended America and done a very credible job of doing so and taking the fight to our terrorist enemies who are hiding in holes.”

Until we all realize we are being attacked EVERY day by the policies that Bush/McCain insisted on we will just have more of the same.

9/ll happened because of INSANE immigration policy. More Americans die at the hands of illegal aliens every year than have died in Iraq.

The McCain campaign took too much for granted. I helped open our local county office in August, and then tried for the next five weeks to get McCain/Palin signs and bumper stickers. We were repeatedly told by national McCain people that Indiana was not a priority. We told those people that McCain would lose Indiana if they didn't get us the materials to help the McCain effort.

Then three weeks before the election—after Obama pulled even—suddenly, we get 1,500 signs and several thousand stickers. We suddenly get a professional election worker (compared to 20 professional Obama staff members). With a week to go, we suddenly get 50 cell phones for phone banks.

The Obama office here had paid employees, a dozen computers, phones, and funding. Obama went after Indiana with gusto. They also started campaigning here in May. McCain limped into town on Nov.3.

Given the 0.9% difference in outcome between Obama and McCain in Indiana. I really believe that starting the push in August could have made the difference.

Yes and look at it creeping up slowly but surely to capture the Southwest. The cancer from CA moved North to Oregon and Washington State now it is spreading west to CO and AZ. It must be stopped by using a good does of Chemo.

The 2004 - 2008 map shows that the pustulent big city sewers simply gained many more infantile voters who, like Joanne, expect Obama to give them everything they want. They will turn on him like savages once they find he lied.

What’s the deal with NM and CO? Too many granola crunchers migrated there?

Absolutely correct.
McCain ran way, way behind RINO Daniels who ran a great campaign.
Of course Obama’s foreign billions in funding didn’t hurt either.

Look at that infestation of 'Rats west of Lake Michigan and south of Lake Superior just explode from 2004 to 2008. That should put the nail in the coffin once and for all of talk among FReepers about flipping states like WI or MN. They're too far gone with infestation. Better to concentrate on winning back what we lost in the south, plus IN and OH.

When IN and OH fell, the last barrier to the blue tide flooding out of the Northeast into the upper Midwest has fallen. We've got to win those back. I really want to see some polling data from people in IN as to what caused them to support Odouchebag and not McCain. I have a feeling I already know: jobs and the economy. We aren't going to win those people back promising things like globalism and free trade, smaller government and tax cuts. These people fear for their livelihoods and the well-being of their families. The 'Rats have exploited that fear and come up with a message that appeals to people in that position. We had better come up with one of our own, and it better not be the "losing-your-job-to-offshoring-is-good-for-you" crap.

The most disheartening aspect to this map is to see new Mexico, Colorado and Nevada. They look lost for a long time. NC and VA are depressing, but I don't think the state will hold in that model-same with FL.

Conservatives MUST MAKE ENROADS into Hispanic American culture over the next 8 years. Traditional, hard working legal Hispanic families share all of our values, but have been strongly marketed to over the last 10 years from the left.

>>>Can’t tell it on the map, but proud to say Gloucester County in Virginia supported McCain over Obama 63% to 36%. Love of America is still in vogue here.

Strangely enough, the county Sarah Palin called the real America, Guilford County, North Carolina, went for Obama.

I have heard much about demographics this week. I have to wonder, was it about the demographics or our candidate? You know, the guy who is throwing his running mate under the bus and can’t get back to being the darling of the NY Times fast enough.

I wouldn't worry too much. When a city disappears under an atomic cloud then America will know they were dupped into electing a fraud.

Yeah, nothing about 1.5 million deaths couldn't fix huh?

I agree completely. We must not be discouraged or give up. My thread is all about fighting on and having faith in God. His WILL is being done, and will be done.

>> Our Democratic governor and Democratic U.S. Senators have RUN OUR STATE INTO THE GROUND! And they get rewarded. <<

Yeah I'm in Obama's home state and it's the same situation. Our RAT governor got elected in 2002 on a platform to end "buisness as usual" and "reform" Illinois, and he's run this state into the ground. He currently has a 13% approval rating. Our RAT legislature is even worse. And what do people do? They keep re-electing these socialists, and they give Obama a promotion after he's done absolutely NOTHING to "change" the corrupt political climate in Illinois.

I swear Illinois voters are idiots and deserve these politicians. They know these Chicago politicians are corrupt thugs and they don't care. No matter how bad it's gotten over the last six years, they support Chicago socialism having total control over Illinois. I've about had it with politics here. The socialists win no matter what happens.

That's why I'm not optimistic that we can turn things around in 2010 and 2012 due to backlash from Obama, Pelosi, and Reid wreaking America. They'll just saying that they're still trying to "fix" things after 8 years of Bush and you can't expect change overnite. And voters will believe them and give marxism another chance.

I really fear for the future of this country.

There’s all kinds of scenarios that could play out here.

We could be attacked again.

The Stock Market could bottom out and never recover in 4 years.

Race Riots. But that could lead to martial law and the death of democracy as we perceive it.

An influx of illegals could effectively shut down major cities. Again potential for martial law.

All kinds of things. My hunch is that we’re going to have another terrorist attack and not in NYC. When we do, it will all be Obama’s fault.

Thank you. Yes, let’s continue to pray and work.

I really think if the conservative message is going to get out, we really need candidates that speak multiple languages. English/Spanish preferably. Unfortunately, the reality is many Hispanics (even legal ones) get their news from the Spanish stations and they are not exactly friendly to the conservative cause. A Spanish speaking candidate can speak directly to them.

My belief is that the Lord will continue to bless and protect this nation so long as there is a critical mass of people striving to do His will. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because Abraham could not find even ten people interested in righteousness. It is our faith and willingness to act on that faith that will protect this nation in spite of all the efforts of its enemies. That is not to say it won’t suffer, but it will not be overthrown so long as we remain faithful and true. Of course, if the Lord calls out out of the nation, or if the nation makes it impossible to practice our faith and evangelize, all bets are off.
