Billy Graham Won't Advise Obama Because of His Strong Pro-Abortion Position

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Respected Christian preacher Billy Graham has been an advisor and spiritual helper to presidents dating back to President Eisenhower.
But that relationship with presidents will now come to an end because incoming president Barack Obama takes such a profoundly pro-abortion position.
To be sure, Graham's health is playing a part in the decision his son Franklin Graham told the Associated Press.
"My father feels like his time and day for that is over," Franklin Graham said. "But he would certainly like to meet (Obama) and pray with him."
But Franklin expressed concerns about Obama's abortion position -- something he mentioned to the senator during the campaign as a stumbling block -- and indicated that as the main reason.
He told AP the Bible is clear in its teaching that human life deserves respect and protection even before birth.
"President-elect Obama has heard our position," Franklin Graham told the news service. "And I told him that this was very difficult for us and hard for us. It's a moral issue that we just can't back down on."
"But he's our president-elect, and those positions that he holds that are contrary to Biblical teaching, I hope that God will change his heart," Graham added.
Obama's position in favor of unlimited abortions throughout pregnancy for any reason was a key issue for pro-life voters during the campaign.
Obama also came under fire for supporting the so-called Freedom of Choice Act, a Congressional bill that would make unlimited abortions under Roe v. Wade the national law and overturn the abortion reduction laws of all 50 states.
The senator also drew condemnation for his votes in the Illinois state legislature against a bill that would have made sure newborns who survive failed abortions receive appropriate medical care.
Or LBJ for that matter, who was one of the foul men ever to occupy the White House. (and that is putting it politely as possible)

I was thinking of Isiah who used to annoint the kings of Old Israel and even the King of Assyria, it seems odd that Graham won’t be on the scene to do the same for Obama.
Well, that is change, but not for the better, Obama has set his heart to allowing a slaughter that would make even the Molech worshipers pale..

Exactly the old DEM Party used to be fairly Conservative. BTW another man who changed the face of the nation was a preacher and was also a DEM. Like him or hate him Jerry Falwell a DEM helped put Reagan in the White House and helped at the time turn a nation back on the right course. As for Graham associating with the presidents even the not so moral ones? It is the sick in need of the physician say's GOD's Word.
Graham also had political views on China I did not share but can understand why. Billy's wife's parents were Missionaries in China IIRC and Franklin's Mentor was Bob Pierce a man whom too many times to count went into Communist China after the purge for the Gospel sake.
Overall Billy Graham has been a great man doing GOD's work. Why Graham did some things we don't understand may stay between Himself and GOD as he served the Gospel and answered to The Lord not man.
Sorry. He could have long ago denounced the unbiblical positions, but he chose to grandstand with the other charlatans. His love of the spotlight and embrace of Bill and Hillary tells you everything about this man’s flawed theology.
Because the nation as a whole turned it's back on him. This must be kept separate though with mans one on one with HIM. When nations fall away they come under judgement. GOD gives nations warnings then GOD judges. This does not mean His chosen or elect are abandoned as individuals.
Seems I remember a short time after 9-11 that Franklin Graham went to see Bush and pretty much told him the truth about Islam. After that, he was never invited back again.

Very good question. I offer three possible answers.
1. Much of what you thought was the gospel, was actually a concocted story made by men. You have been led to believe that if you pray earnestly for something, God, like Santa, will give it to you because he wants you to be happy. The real gospel promises suffering during our brief wait here. See Tyndale, Hus, etc.
2. God is pouring out judgment upon the US and the world and we refuse to notice. This is not the “end times” stuff (left behind, etc.), but real wrath noted in the Scriptures. We will get caught in the gears right along with the unbelievers. We just will not face condemnation, if we are among those He has decided to rescue. Read Isaiah through very slowly and listen to the “chosen people’s” anguish over the discipline. Ours could be temporary or long term. No human knows.
3. There is no God.
Senator "Coke-head" Obama is in favor of infanticide. I would have been very disappointed if Billy Graham would serve as an advisor to anyone in favor of infanticide, and I am glad that Billy Graham made the decision that he did.
