When you are on your deathbed AND faced with clearly the most UNGODLY of all of our nation’s presidents, you just have to decline on principle on occasion.

he [Graham] would certainly like to meet (Obama) and pray with him."

This line is used as a headline for some newspaper articles. It gives people the impression that Mr. Graham is hoping to meet Obama.

So does Graham want to meet with Obama or not?

Yes. You ARE supposed to pray for him. Unless you don’t think God puts rulers into place, that is.

Genius, I know all of the Scriptures that say that I am supposed to pray for my leaders, and submit to their authority, even if they are harsh.

Romans 13
Hebrews 13
1 Peter 2 (two places)

Happy?

Though along the lines of “it took Carter to get us Reagan”, it also took Saul to get David.

If you don’t understand that, then you don’t need to be challenging me on spiritual issues. Unless you can’t deduce from the surrounding sentence structure that I KNOW I’m supposed to pray for my leaders, it’s just in this instance I’m not very happy about it?

Losing that election really shook my faith. Why would God let this happen ?

I have an easy answer for you: We as Christians have been sitting on our butts, being lazy and without a backbone. We let prayer be removed from schools. We don't stand up and defend Jesus when vulgar idiots insult our faith, and we have not worked hard enough to stop abortion. The blood of millions of slaughtered babies has been screaming out to God.

Look at the Old Testament...the Israelites sinned for years, off and on, and did their idol worship until finally, they got beat up either by cruel neighboring nations or evil and abusive rulers.

It woke them up and brought them to repentance. When they straightened out, then God had mercy on them and delivered them.

And this happened over and over again as you can read from Exodus to Chronicles.
The more I think about it, the more it becomes clear. It's wake-up time. We can either cry (as I did for three days) or stand up, even if we get persecuted for it.

Be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove, the Bible says. We have only been harmless as a dove and got squashed by a steam roller.

Sarah made the Republican party something to be proud of. Unfortunately, her running mate was afraid to admit he was a Republican.

I don't think anyone has compared the times MAC...and that's the last time I'll call him that - has given a fiery speech lauding the wisdom our party showed in the aftermath of the dot com bust, 911, nor exposed the rat's never ending battle to pork up essential services, then blame their own fat on Bush, Republicans, and McCheese.

I appreciate his energy, but he never recognized his opponent, was always 2 steps behind in a game that is proving deadly to our economy, and the 1st thing on his mind is that he goes out as a gentleman.

John McCain, you were playing softball, while the crims were going for broke.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHY WE NEVER, EVER PUT UP MEMBERS FROM THE GOOD OLD BOY'S CLUB!!!

"Please, if Rev. Graham is a democrat who did he vote for?

If he voted at all, he surely didn't vote for Obama.

"More women have had an abortion since the Bush administration."

What is the factual source of this statement?

I have printed out this article, because I know several Billy Graham followers who would not believe me if I told them what Billy Graham is NOW saying.

Well, Graham certainly met and advised the clintons, and they are also pro-infanticide.

I'm a few months behind you in age, but I assure you, you do not have to wait. It is HE who has waited all these years for you to ask of HIM. When you do, you will know of his joy. It will rise from the soles of your feet, through your spine, your hands, and there will always be much more to see than before.

Obamanation has already fallen on God’s sword..

I can't think of a better description of the physical angst that's beset him the last couple days.

I saw him on tv - He has the demeanor of one descending into a very large and disturbed wasp nest.

I am really praying for him to make right decisions. Our country is at such a critical place that his early decisions could have termendous ramifications. I am not sure the world economy and balance of power will be very forgiving. Indeed, we could be in the prophesied latter days.

The difference between Clinton is that Clinton understood he had faults and for all his venality, was willing to try to change as much of himself as he could. Bill was human and was someone who readily connected to other people and didn’t hold himself too high on a pedestal.

Obama thinks he’s G-D and believes he should lecture Billy Graham. He knows this is historical and mayhap sees himself as some sort of divine incarnation, like Mandela.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Obama arranged an ‘accident’ for Billy and I hope he has plenty of people willing to hide him. Obama is demented enough to think he has the divine right to do what he pleases, because he is not just a protected minority, but the embodiment of a historical occurance. Anyone would have their head turned, but Obama has been pampered psychologically since birth so at this point he’s just too gone.

In my judgment, refusing to act to try to DEFEAT Obama and ALL the likeminded people would will be in his administration and nominated to the courts, by voting for McCain, is a morally culpable act. And very sad.

I believe God will agree with you on that one. There is such a thing as a sin of omission. They are like Pilate, washing the matter off their hands.

For evil to triumph, all good men need do is nothing. When Obama comes up with something they don't like, tell them they are just as responsible, because they didn't vote to stop him.

Thank you.

I do believe it’s important to continue educating on this point as this delusional and ultimately evil line of reasoning seems to come up every election among those who claim they are “highly principled.”

It seems clear that it is a morally culpable act to refuse to do what is available to you to do (no matter how seemingly futile) to stop evil. Even if it means faciliating a lesser evil.

It is no different than the law allowing one to kill a human being (standing alone, an evil act) in order to protect your own life or the life of an innocent (in short, to try to prevent a greater evil).

Standing by and letting someone be murdered when there is an act available to you to do to try to stop that murder is reprehensible. Then to claim it’s “not my fault because my principles didn’t allow me to act” is even worse.

In moral terms, it is no less culpable to refuse to vote (in an effective way) against Obama (by voting for the only viable candidate who could have defeated him, McCain) than to vote directly for him.

The news just reported that Obama also intends to lift Bush’s order limiting stem cell research ASAP.

That's the explanation of an irresponsible coward, and one with no principles or morals. Even Gandhi, the ultimate arbiter of peace to the leftists, said: "Between violence and cowardly flight, I can only prefer violence to cowardice."
