E-Voting Machines ZOTTED Writer Without a Home
The Intelligence Daily ^ | Jason Leopold

Posted on 11/07/2008 1:10:45 PM PST by CabaCibi

Electronic voting machines that a Michigan election official said last week incorrectly tabulated vote counts during pre-election tests in the state were used in Minnesota where the senate race between Republican incumbent Norm Coleman and Democratic challenger Al Franken is in dispute.

We should just all use Scantrons. It’s always been reliable. You mark your circle and insert your ballot and done. Betcha, Coleman loses by the way and this is just a way for the Dems to cheat, ala the Secretary of State, an ACORN ally.

Who made the decision to move known flawed machines from Michigan (where the contest wasn't in doubt?) to Minnesota where they knew it would be close.

I don't care if its a Democrat or a Republican - jail time is the only way we will get integrity back into our election process. Throw 'em into a cell with a bunch of Acorns.

"... Johnson, the Oakland County Clerk, said in her letter last week to the EAC that the M-100 voting machines used in four communities Tuesday “reported inconsistent vote totals during their logic and accuracy testing.”

“The same ballots run through the same machines, yielded different results each time,” says the letter addressed to Rosemary Rodriguez, the chairwoman of the Election Assistance Commission. “ES&S determined that the primary issue [that caused the machines to formulate incorrect vote counts] was dust and debris build-up on the sensors inside the M-100” voting machine. “This has impacted the Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) settings for the two Contact Image Sensors (CIS).”

Since they used paper ballots, they can be hand counted. I hope that the ballot boxes have two locks with the Dems and Pubs each having a key and locked in a location that can not be accessed by election workers or ACORN so that stuffing can't occur between now and the hand count.

Jason Leopold, you are an absolutely funny guy. You get tombstoned out of Democratic Underground, then you come here to post an article?

Your points on the machine may be reasonable;however, as you can tell, Diebold didn't provide the Republicans with their “assured victory,” as you always thought.

This means you are butt-backwards on yet another “prediction!”

How do you live with yourself? I hope you can head down to Bukowski’s and get over my comments to you. Put it on my tab.

It's amazing!!! What a coincidence!!!

The ONLY place there are any voting irregularities is where the Democrat is losing by a slim margin.

Maybe a little off the subject but I am getting tired of seeing CNN’s electoral map on their site with Obama 364 and McCain 163. They still refuse to call Missouri and give McCain our 11 electoral votes. Do any of you know what the official final electoral count is? Maybe they are printing and filling out new ballots for Obama to make up the 6000 lead McCain has had since Tuesday with 100% precincts in.

We use optical readers in our precinct and they work beautifully. The electronic machines seem to break down and can be compromised.

Get rid of them.

Our voting system is broken. Even before you have the issue of fraud (which is huge), you have the issue that in a razor thin race where a couple hundred votes seperate the candidates you can’t trust the machines enough to be sure who really got the most votes. Its almost a joke. Blow up the system and start from scratch. And add in tons more fraud protections. Of course the congressional dems may move to get rid of any protections.

Will there be a recount similar to the one in Washington State where the sitting Governor had one recount which confirmed her loss, then Democrats forced a second recount, discovered a bundle of uncounted votes, and she's still sitting Governor.

As long as Minnesota election officials are going to check out the accuracy of the machines, how about checking out who did the voting? If they did the latter, I'm sure they will find more phony votes in Franken's favor than they could ever find machine tally errors in Coleman's favor.

The 'Rats have always been the party of fraud, lies, and deceit and it's time that we in the GOP talked up this problem again and again until action is taken to alleviate it and clean up the election process.

Observe the difference between Republicans and Democrats.

McCain graciously concedes to Obama despite widespread voter fraud which we all know had a significant impact on the number of votes for the Dems. (Whether it would have been enough to change the results we will never know.)

Franken whines and cries and complains and runs to the courts because he doesn't want to concede.

Indeed, the symbol for the Democrats should be a crying baby. . .although a jackass is rather appropriate as well.

McCain and the RNC should have done a lot more complaining as the fraud was going on during the campaign, in very specific terms, citing chapter and verse, and even holding a press conference or two about it. Not that it would have caused too many illegal names to be removed from the voting lists, but it would have motivated a lot more people who simply abhor cheating to register and vote for him to counteract the fraud. It could have been a huge campaign issue, but McCain and the RNC undoubtedly sidestepped it for fear of the ubiquitous "r" word in retaliation.

Now the Republican minority in Congress has to take up the slack and submit and talk up bills (though they will not get passed now) that criminalize willful voting fraud, even on the part of state potentates (like the notorious Ohio S3ecretary of State) who aid and abet it.

If it is a joke delivered by Al Franken, you can assured that it won't be funny. He is definitely the lamest comedian who ever lived. Compared to Franken, Tina Fey could be considered funny (even though the best she has ever gotten from me is a weak smile).
