I didn’t vote for him, but someone needs to discuss with him why this remark was inappropriate, especially because Mrs. Reagan was just released from the hospital. It is no longer partisan politics in the Senate for him. He is a figurehead now and must think before he speaks! Every president must maintain his dignity at all times.
Not just that, but there's no way around the fact he had been waiting for a national moment to say something contemptuous of the Reagans.

You’re right, but he is NOT president yet, no matter what he thinks. He does NOT represent our country yet. He isn’t fit to and never will be, so why expect him to clean up his behavior? Who, The One?
Any president’s behavior reflects on this nation. If he does foolish or inappropriate things, it makes us all look bad. I am glad that he apologized to Mrs. Reagan and hope that he learned a lesson.
I was shocked that the reporters were asking him today whether he would be trying to influence what Pres. Bush is doing right now. I’ve never heard such talk that I can remember. After all, as you said, he isn’t the president until 1/20!
