Last week, here in America, they came for Jessica Hughes, and I will not be silent. I will not turn away, hoping, in the end, they will not come for me.
Jessica Hughes of Lufkin, Texas, former Marine, mother of three, answered her cell phone in the car, coming home from the emergency room. Her 9-year-old had suffered a mild concussion, but was OK.
The caller was a female Obama volunteer who asked if Jessica would support Obama for president.
Jessica replied, "No, I don't support him. Your guy is a socialist who voted four times in the state Senate to let little babies die in hospital closets; I think you should find something better to do with your time." Then Jessica hung up.
The next day, a man and a woman in suits showed up at the door of her home, identifying themselves as members of the Secret Service.
The Secret Service agents stated that the Obama campaign had complained of a death threat. They had quoted Jessica as saying, "I will never support Obama, and he will wind up dead on a hospital floor."
Jessica's husband had heard Jessica's side of the original phone call and verified the actual quote. To which the female agent replied, "Oh? Well why would she (the Obama volunteer) make that up?"

This is truly frightening. Nobody was allowed to criticize the messiah because doing so meant you were a racist; now it seems that any criticism is going to be twisted and distorted to make you look like an enemy of the state. Good for Roger Hedgecock for calling attention to this. It’s the first I’d heard of it.
Yeah, this happened almost a month ago. I was lucky to have stumbled across it.

It’s really a shame when someone lies about such a serious matter knowing it will cause a visit from the secret service. I’m glad Jessica’s story is out there for the public to see.
I remember lots of liberals complaining they had the secret service visiting them over things they said about President Bush claiming they did nothing wrong. Isn’t there a couple of people serving some prison time now?
It all boils down this. Our freedom of speech really is monitored and often altered. People have to be brave like Jessica and let the media know if they are being harassed. Jeepers, I wonder if the powers that be snoop here and read our comments? Is the only place our thoughts are safe is in our heads?
ok...hold on here guys.... how do we know they were real secret service agents? When any unknown “agent” of anything comes to my door, I make sure they are legit. Besides asking to see identification, I call an office to verify that they are who they say they are. These idiots might have just been friends of the idiot on the phone, trying to intimidate this woman.

Things like this will continue forever, because there is not enough media coverage. Is there any obligation whatsoever to allow secret service personnel into your home without a warrant (check the 4th Amendment)? Can you take photos of them and post them on the net? Can you record the conversation and send it to your local (or not-so-local) radio station and have it put on air? Are you even under any obligation AT ALL to even waste your time talking to these people with their Gestapo-like methods?
This is a typical case of the word of one person against the word of another person. No phone records? Then why did the secret service act in the way it did? A bit of republican-bashing, maybe? No legal- or other basis! Unconstitutional! Bad!

I was a Police Officer and a Correctional Officer for a numner of years. If this would even be the accurate statement I see no death threat in it. If a correct rendition of what the women said it might have been crude but nowhere is there a threat of action to precipatate a death on her part.
Me thinks the SS will be working overtime with the hyper sensitivity that will be afforded Obama because he is black and because he is a socialist

As a former Police Officer and Correctional Officer I have taught all my family the follwing
1. Never invite any Law Officer into your home. If they have a warrant they get in. If not, the conversation takes place outside the door.
2. Know your local Police. Most Departments have web pages with pictures of their officers. Unless you live in a large city this is helpful.
3. Always ask for personal ID. Uniformed Officers have ID cards. Do not assume that a man standing at your door in a uniform that looks that the ones your local police wears is the Police if you do not personally know him. Check the ID card. If he refuse to show one the conversatuion is over and you close the door.
4. Never, let me repeat that. NEVER go with a Police Officer so you “can help with their inquiries”, “talk at the station” etc. If they do not have a warrant and you are not under arrest you have NO obligation to go anywhere with them.
Uniforms and police style equipment are easy to come by.
She stood up to them pretty good. But how long before a similar defiant stance is met with,
“That’s it! We’re taking you in for questioning!”

Interesting that when I comment about fighting back against the marching legions of brownshirts who could come for the people (in a lefty world they will be called “dissidents”), employing the means to do so pursuant to what the Second Amendment actually intended, I get my post banned? The Second Amendment was created SPECIFICALLY for that purpose! Just read what the founders had to say about it.

I think you're right. They don't sound like the real thing to me. Investigating agents identify themselves, don't they? These sound like campaign "workers" to me. It would be great to identify them, since impersonating an officer is a felony.
I just found out that every conversation I have with my husband (who's in Iraq), every email that I send him, is monitored. And I mean that there is a live person listening in on our phone calls as we speak. So my husband is gone for 15 months and I can't have even one private conversation with him in that whole time.
And this is *before* the socialists take over.
That does seem more likely than that the Secret Service would come. Even if it were taken seriously as a death threat, wouldn’t the FBI be the first to investigate? Secret Service is not a law enforcement agency.
Also, thanks for the tip! I am too trusting and let anyone who comes to my door in the house. Good idea about asking for ID and calling to verify. If the person is legitimate, they should not mind waiting outside while I make a quick phone call.

Why be surprised - reports of the bias through omission have been prevalent. A land without God is damned and we are turning our backs on Him! He has been telling us and we are not listening. Beware - God warned us that we, mankind, did not want kings (aka government) and we insisted. Sometimes He gives us just what we ask for! Ever think we’ll learn to be careful for what we ask?
Surprised? I am not surprised. With Obama and his goon squad, I think this is par for the course. Perhaps you didn’t mean that comment just for me, but for “everyone”?
I agree with everything you said. This nation has definitely turned its back on God. “We” have told Him that He is not necessary here. It breaks my heart. :^(

Sorry I haven’t been around...honestly the defeat depressed me so much I haven’t hardly watched the news at all. I am coming out of it though and I have contacted the local Repub Party and am looking into ‘exploiting’ my exposure to run for some low level office. I really think that what happened was Providence and the loss to Obama just solidified my determination that what was once the Party of Conservatives return to that state. I am sick of the morons pandering to the Left as if getting on our knees for them will make us popular. Despite what those who live in the bubble of Manhattan Society believe and convey to us via the MSM, I remain convinced that our nation is filled with individuals who would welcome a genuinely traditional, conservative (fiscally and socially)revolution in politics. I want to be there when it happens.
