I’ve been saying to anyone who listens, McCain did not want to win. And now, I’m glad in a way. McCain did a terrible job advocating for himself and Conservative principles. Can you imagine him in the White House with a Democrat congress, a hostile media and the economy in the tank (which he admits to not knowing enough about). If we think Bush was bad, could McCain have been any better in articulating the way forward. We have four years to find an articulate, principled Conservative. Obama, face it, didn’t win by much when he should have won in a landslide if the country really believed he was the agent of change.

no, not forward thinking enough to lose on purpose and not smart enough to win.

I agree. He's too dumb to pull off a complicated stunt like this with grace.

Voters don’t care what Obama and the Democrats say. The guy sitting in the Oval Office at the time always gets the blame.

I have to agree because he pulled so many punches and based on his own rhetoric he knew what we are up against and yet he folded....

Scary indeed.

"I told my hubby that I was having a "Lincoln moment" (in frustration with the general not actually fighting the war), in that I felt like asking McCain, "hey, if you are not really running for President, could you give the chance to someone who actually wants the job".

My thoughts exactly and as much as I love to talk, I couldn't have said it better!!

The Powers that Be decided Obama would be the better President because his brand of Socialism would not be unexpected. In this case, the majority either wanted it or was too uninformed to make a rational decision.

The demmies voted him in by cross-voting in the early primaries. This pushed out the REAL conservatives like Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson . Should be a law against that it seems, but what can you do?

UNLESS Obama and the DNCers (Do-Nothing-Congress) pass laws saying you have to reveal who you voted for in the future!

I'm really afraid for our Constitution! So much is being whittled away--wish there was a time machine to bring the Founding Fathers forward to see this mess that has been made in the name of 'progress'. They'd be appalled, I'm sure!

I just hope he has a lot of protection. There's really no telling what might happen to strong possible RNC leaders in the future--another hurricane in New Orleans and he's 'accidentally' hurt or killed while reviewing the damage?

I am DEFINITELY going to have to invest in Reynold's on the stock market!!

IOW, a conspiracy of sorts took place...Non-GOP primary-plants decided who the Pubbie nominee was? Yes, Huckabee didn't help, but the guy was an absolute unknown lightweight.

One day McCain was lying in a political casket, and the next moment he's jibber-jabbering as our nominee?

It and his entire train-wreck of a campaign (except for Sarah Palin) REEKED of 'A Fix.' Suddenly he became the anti-"Maverick."

By the time the next presidential election occurs, we may have lost so many freedoms, including free speech, that blaming ANYTHING on PEO will be illegal and punished to the full extent of the law!

Or Secret Service people will show up at your house in the middle of the night to have 'a little chat with you'.

Dang, I'm scaring myself. I hope I'm not catching ODS!

I heard poeple in their seventies and eighties saying they thought McCain was too old.

Could be!

While O’Reilly is not always that brilliant, I thought he had a good idea when he stated McCain should have announced he’d go after the “bad guys” of the financial debacle, and appoint Rudy G. to prosecute these guys, and Mitt to help figure out the economics of the mess.

Also, O’Reilly said McCain could have been on his program the ENTIRE HOUR, to counter 0bama’s “informercial” that aired that same exact time. McCain refused. And he also refused to let Sarah appear on the Factor.

He sure didn’t do all he could have, IMO. And by “suspending” his campaign those couple of days, and then virtually doing NOTHING to help the mess, he just drew attention to himself and the fact that he just went along with the crowd.

What a disaster!

Voters don’t care what Obama and the Democrats say. The guy sitting in the Oval Office at the time always gets the blame.

Covert hypnoses is used in the inner city Chicago school district to redirect the minds of the lost teenagers. The schools hired Kevin Hagar to help, because the schools had lost control. Oboma and Ayers were heavily invested in the schools. They know how to use this technique very well. Hagar teaches covert hypnosis seminars to major corporations around the globe. Oboma gives speeches, but never says anything substantial - on the surface, but if you study up on the covert hypnoses techniques, you'll see he's pretty good at it. That's' why his cult follows are screaming to buy more of the nothing he's "selling".

(See www.KevinHagar.com)

Keep Oboma way from the podium, and we have a chance. If he's allowed to get Americas attention, we've got another Stalin on our hands. It's just like Rush says - "We've seen this type of thing before."

McCain’s ego and personality hurt him

he thought he could just drone on and on about his qualifications and play nice with the Dems and still win.

dumb

he was running against the media and the Dems and he let them frame the race every time.....over and over...so many lost opportunities at the debates to hit a home run and he refused to take it

how on earth did someone with so extreme a track record get elected?

part of it is our very leftist electorate, partly due to open doors immigration from places where folks come here wanting to vote for more bigger government and to vote against the percieved white power structure and a very leftist slanted youth who have been brainwashed by the sorts of folks Obama has hung out with his whole life

the only way to beat these folks is to go for the jugular and get that stupid mushy undecided vote but overall to motivate your base

GOP turnout was very low historically

Duncan Hunter is a great man, but didn't "connect" with the people. Rudy was pro-choice and had too much baggage. Fred completely blew it by arriving far too late and too unprepared. Fred didn't even want to run. Romney had no chance. So it was McCain as the Candidate. Sadly, McCain was not supported early on, as he should have been. He was our Candidate, but there were misgivings until Sarah arrived. She helped all she could, but the momentum had swung to NObama; at least just enough momentum to help him win.

Republicans didn't "deliberately" lose the election, however, we failed to put an exciting visionary out there as our Candidate. Sarah Palin was the Republican's only shining Star up until the very end and she was only (but importantly) just the VP choice.

That’s because the MSM kept hammering the age fact into our minds non-stop!! Which led to Palin bashing—but Joe Biden is only a few years younger than McCain, yet he is the PERFECT person ‘a few heartbeats away from the Presidency in case of emergency’?!?

See post #73. This explains why everyone is so mesmerized by Obomas speeches - even though on the surface it all seems like simple platitudes.

his voice is hypnotic, I’;ve noticed that before

he appeals to the stupids

i bet barely 5% can articulate why they supported him
