I watched it twice and still don’t get it. Maybe I’m humor challenged, I don’t even know what they’re talking about.

I dispise Doonesbury. Trudeau stopped being funny years ago. I have been wondering what or who he would insult when President Bush leaves office.
Obviously, everything in America that makes it great will be his next target. He needs to stop pretending to be a ‘comic strip writer’ when he is just another American-hating liberal.

The Left are sick.
This creep is mentally ill, but that doesn’t excuse his vile, putrid nature.

Thanks, but no thanks. I'll trust your judgment ;)
One of the bonuses of not reading the dinosaur press has been not seeing a Doonesbury strip!

Back during Clinton, I actually wrote him to complain about his tireless bias - he wrote me back, quite incensed to think that I would accuse him of being unfair.

Thanks to our veterans, this slug has the right to freedom of speech and of the press. I wouldn’t have it any other way, but I imagine his mother and father would. If any of my kids ever showed so little respect to our veterans, we would have a nice long chat about what they owe to those who served (a group that I am proud to belong to).

The Doonesbury in question: infuriating crap from a guy not qualified to comment on the subject, let alone derive compensation from it. This year is the last we will be paying the local rag to run a Veterans Day pic of SPC niteowl77 Jr, as it makes no sense to pay the jerks to commemorate the lad's service when they turn around and pay Garry Trudeau to insult him.
I am still trying to get niteowl77 to break the habit of having a morning paper, and have hopes for 2009 in that regard.

Years ago when I still looked at the local rag its editors had no problem canceling
non sequitur when it took a couple of friendly jabs at newspaper people.
But when black conservative Ward Connerly was featured in a black cartoon strip being beaten to death -- ah well. that's just satire. "Can't you readers underestand that it's just satire?"
Hey it's what Rat Party (formerly the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party) folks do.. the Rats are after all the 1960s New Left street rabble and their ideological issue.
I don't know if it has a number but it's an Alinsky rule: malign, malign, malign.

I can tell you that my instant reaction would be very unkind if Trudeau had made that comment to me in person. There are too many good men in the ground who gave this asshole the opportunity to publish this sludge.
And with the utter gall to send this crap out on Veterans Day week.

Today on the Fox NFL pre-game show, Howie Long called for our support to the veterans of the WOT (I think he actually said 'serving overseas') and their families, because they've made so many sacrifices.

That was true for a while in the Cleveland Plain Dealer” But it’s back on the funny pages now. Don’t know how long it’s been back, as I cancelled my subscription 15 years ago. Some one left the paper in a local eatery, and I glanced through it. Same old far left cr@p!
