The man behind the fictional character of “Martin Eisenstadt” rose to fame under the name “Abrad2345.” “Eisenstadt” released several YouTube videos a year ago that received Internet-wide praise for being sexist, racist tributes to narcissism. “Eisenstadt” also got some, like Juan Cole and Air America, to bite at the video he created which made it appear he was telecast on a Iraqi TV program, where he spoke about how great things will be when casinos dominate Baghdad’s Green Zone.

The latest example of someone latching onto a post from “Eisenstadt” is from Andrew Malcolm at the L.A. Times

I think the gist is, there’s some doofus out there who fancies himself a political Borat. If it’s deeper than that, he’s also succeeded in punking the mainstream media outlets, who are the ones that outed the guy as just a prankster.

Welcome to Free Republic. You have to follow the threads and sort out what is going on by following links provided and possibly doing some of your own research. Things here happen in real time quite often, which can be confusing but also is why often FR is ahead of many stories. As to a summary- What? This is not a class and there are no cliff notes for FR.

The first answer is common sense. These lies never even passed the laugh test.

The second answer is quit underestimating the enemy. The Obama people knew we were down after the loss Tuesday night: Wednesday they launched the attack.

They're ingenious, ruthless and currently way ahead of us, in terms of modern political warfare.

It’s not that there are no summaries allowed- threads/stories are allowed to take their own course. This is developing. If and when it is determined what actually happened there will be threads that tell what was found. If you don’t have time to keep up, then just keep following the story as best you can- it will at some point likely be sorted out.

A summary at this point wouldn’t do alot of good- there are still many clues and angles to follow- some will be red herrings but some will pay off. A new thread would get as confusing as this one while this is still in progress.

There are some fine detectives on this site and it is amazing to see these stories get sorted out, and they usually do.

I didn’t believe the stories about Palin to begin with- it sounded like spiteful gossip to me or someone wanting her to take a fall for the loss. It is a good possibility it was someone that wanted to remove her from the playing field.

It it was a hoax from the start it still may go back to one of the above reasons. We’ll see.
