What’s the story about? I keep listening to him talk about it but a synopsis would be nice ....

Dear Glenn,

You’ve lost me. I once, was an avid listener.....but with the whole ‘give peace a chance’ crap, I’m done.

I’m reading it now. It’s a novel, sort of autobiographical in a way. It’s about a 12 year old boy who receives a handknitted sweater for Christmas, from his mother (instead of the bike he had wanted) and then his mother dies (in the story the father had passed away a few years before.) The child goes to live with his grandparents.

I’ve heard Glenn talk about his mother’s suicide when he was around 13, so I imagine him losing his mother, and perhaps the sweater are the autobiographical aspects. His father is still alive, so that part is fictional.

I understand he's a recovering alcoholic too ... so I was thinking the story was about him ... he gets really philosophical sometimes ... what he says is good ... I get a lot of a spiritual uplift from him ....

Yeah, he’s not been too specific about it, but here’s more:

He said in no uncertain terms that he will NOT surrender Conservative principles to the new Obama Administration. It was more of a “let’s act like mature adults today (post-election), but keep our powder dry for tomorrow.”

I listened to him that day. He went on to talk about how we have to show Obama respect and honor the office of president. He said we should give him a chance to see if he would lead and to where.

Then he went on to tout all the conservative values. I kept thinking, "How can we respect Obama when he respects not ONE of our conservative values?"

"How do we honor the man in the office when his very presence puts the office in jeapordy?"

I was screaming at Glenn (good thing I was in the basement) to "Go fly a kite!" (not exactly those words)

I find it almost impossible to regard Obama with any respect. He has shown no inclination, nor does his record cause me to think, that he will work with any conservative and compromise.

Glenn Beck moving to FOX? I haven’t watched a television news channel since Nov 3. I refuse to see the face of the Marxist, and I especially refuse to listen to all the cult worshippers throwing flowers to the anti-christ.
