What is really troubling to me is Matthew’s extreme fear of religion, coupled with his odd physical reactions to Obama - perhaps a case of unrequited love?
Nothing else except sheer idiocy explains Matthew’s comments.

God has that effect on the godless.
I guess all the founding Fathers and the majority of our past Presidents trouble this fool too.

It’s certainly no more troubling than putting all our eggs in a basket called ‘hope.’

Matthews talking is frightening.

"Joe Biden took more hits from the media than anybody for the last 30 years!"
To: St. Louis Conservative
Matthews must be extraordinarily troubled by all the God references in our founding documents.

Ding ding ding!
Chris Matthews is now as credible as Bat Boy...
“Bat Boy finds references to God...troubling..”
Let us propose to adopt Alinsky’s Rule #6...”Ridicule is a powerful weapon”
Why lend this clown an inch of tingle to his “my job is tohelp Obama” campaign?

People need to start calling him on this blabber. Sarah was talking about HER religion and HER life. Actually, none of his damn business. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;"
What part of this 1st Amendment clause does 'giddy up the leg' Matthews not understand?
To: concerned about politics
LMAO!! And I LOVE your tagline! That is rich!

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." -
John Adams ""It is that particular wise and good God, who is the author and owner of our system, that I propose for the object of my praise and adoration" - Benjamin Franklin
"The Hand of Providence has been so conspicuous in all this, that he must be worse than an infidel that lacks faith, and more than wicked, that has not gratitude enough to acknowledge his obligations." - George Washington
"Those who deny freedom to others, deserve it not for themselves; and, under a just God, can not long retain it." - Abraham Lincoln
Do you find these views "troubling", Mr. Matthews? Perhaps you would find comfort in a nation better suited to your temperament.

I wonder if Matthews recalls how every president ends his State of the Union address.
