Rahm Emanuel Expects 'A Lot' From Civil Defense Corps [Ben Smith podcast]

In a 2006 interview with Ben Smith of the NY Daily News, Rahm Emanuel, who will be Barack Obama's White House chief of staff, laughed at Smith's concerns about how far-reaching a mandatory civil-service plan would be.

According to the bios I just read online, Congressman Emmanuel has never worn the uniform of the United States, just like his new boss. Yet they want to draft EVERY youth in America into some kind of Young Pioneers/Hitler Jugen type organization.

Rahm has cold dead eyes and an open hatred for capitalism which has made him personally wealthy.

His type of personality is a key player in marxist revolutions. He seems easily able to detach from, demonize and dehumanize any opponents of his thinking, making it easy to treat them with contempt or worse.

Just putting this forward should cost Obie a great deal of political capital. I hope they move it to the front of the line. Who in heaven’s name would be crazy enough to author such a bill??

If it were to pass ~ which it won’t ~ it would cost Obama when most Americans refused to show up. My kid won’t.

Emanuel is such a psycho that if he starts moving this forward he will NOT back down. We can pick off congressional seats easily in 2010 with such a package before the people.

your kid won't show up and every other kid in his school and the teachers will make notes. Amazing how many kids (and adults) just want to get along go along and not stand out. Plus guess what- patriotism is BACK. Obummer style patriotism, that is. Those who don't go along withe the new progressive patriot movement will be openly or otherwise termed “selfish”, or even “racist”

In a practical sense, dont expect you or your kid to get govt guaranteed loans or other govt subsidized services or benefits if you can't show cooperation. Maybe even a reduced pension check. Last place in line, when medical treatment gets federal gatekeepers to decide who sees what doctor and gets what treatment.

You like the TSA? Wait until TSA-like drones control who gets medical appointments! (Well Mr Jones, you dont look so sick to us today...)

This is more far reaching than we even imagine, given the rapidly growing govt finger in all aspects of our lives and society

So what? I imagine there will be quite a few not showing up. I believe there are still enough Americans brave enough to resist this unconstitutional crap.

People who call themselves conservatives but are perfectly willing to roll over for 0Bama ought to be ashamed of themselves.

The only way we can remain a free nation is to fight for it.

They didn't do that last year (or ever before for Veteran's Day). But they did have one to commemorate the Sputnik launch.

If they are dumb enough to go ahead with this, we fight them. This is one of the things that the libs deeply believe in, but the people do not like.

(Weirdly, mandatory voluntary service for high school students has been becoming more common. So let’s not assume we would win a fight over this; we’d have to win the fight.)

Google and Yahoo are in full support of Obama. Like Chris Matthews, sees a mission in making this president successful. Couple this with Obama’s 3 million person internet army up and running. awaiting further orders.

I just read on Drudge that Gogle will be collecting and reporting to the govt, individual web searches on flu and flu-related terms. This technique could prove useful in helping the govt cull and control the population when there is a pandemic.

He wasn’t in the Israeli Army, either.

He did volunteer to go to Israel to join Volunteers For Israel. They worked in hospitals and performed the more mundane tasks on Israeli military bases so the soldiers could fight on the front lines.

Actually, the correct term is “manstealing,” and it is completely forbidden in Scripture.

Exodus 20:15: You shall not steal.

The first of the many verses that are pertinent to a discussion of the draft and national service is the Eighth Commandment prohibiting theft. Two common misconceptions must be eliminated if we are to understand the meaning of this Commandment. First, the Commandment does not refer only to inanimate property. The Hebrew word is used in connection with both property and persons, and in Exodus 21:16 we read of “manstealing,” i.e., kidnapping, which is a capital crime. This commandment clearly forbids not only the theft of property, but also the removal of innocent persons against their will.

The second misconception is that the Ten Commandments, including this one, apply only to private individuals and not to governments. This notion, which has absolutely no foundation in Scripture, illustrates how far we have gone toward deifying government, for it is attributing divine qualities to rulers to say that they in their official (or private) capacities are exempt from the law. The Commandments, as both the Bible and the Westminster Confession say, bind all men without exception. Rulers and governments are commanded not to steal, murder, covet, lie, or do any other act prohibited in the moral law. Zacchaeus the tax collector stole from the people, and upon his regeneration he recognized his subordination to the moral law. King Ahab broke the Sixth, Eighth, and Tenth Commandments in desiring and taking Naboth’s vineyard. John the Baptist in Luke 3:14 specifically applied the moral law to an agent of the government. There is not the slightest hint in Scripture that governments are above the moral law. And that moral law, as we have already seen, includes a prohibition on manstealing. Yet what are national service and the draft if they are not manstealing? There is no moral distinction between the actions of a private individual who kidnaps a person and a government that drafts its subjects under color of law. Both actions are clear violations of the Eighth Commandment.

Here is a link to the entire article, I encourage everyone to read it:

To me at least the most chilling statement he made was that weather it is on a train or in a barrack it will be a shared experience for all.

The Nazis had trains and Barracks too.

work brings freedom.....

I sure there will be some sort of sorting process....

those with a certain political view go to one camp.....

and those with another go to another...

some go home.....

and some never do....

They just found other places to live.....

If our children will be forced to do it why does it need to be as well funded as our military?

To suck money out of the military, to hollow it out, so it can never fight effectively. When a poorly trained, motivated military loses to the enemy, suggest handing it over to the UN. A new UN Army (which will be funded properly). No more American military.

Also the “Civilian Defense Force” will be closely vetted for loyalty to the New Leadership.

This is not all planned out 1), 2), 3), OBJECTIVE! They'll be playing it by ear, but the general objective is the U.S. will not be able to act unilaterally any more. Everything through the One World Government.

Our eldest is 23, an engineer, voted McCain. His statement about his co-workers/peers who voted Obama, “ I can’t believe how such smart people could be so stupid.”

Strange times are coming, but he will be alright because he has his eyes open. His peers.... not so much : \

They are in for the surprise of their lives.

The kids will be reintegrated into society in much the same way as the puppies came back to the barn in Orwell’s “Animal Farm.”

This is a clear end run around the Posse Comitatus Act. Furthermore, I doubt these kids will take that same oath at the military, have the same loyalties and priorities, or the same training in what constitutes an unlawful order.

Just keep talking about it, keep emailing it, keep it "out there." Remember, we have NO MEDIA to do it for us. Not only was my kid for Obama, but so were all the young people in my office. When I casually ask them what they plan to select for their unpaid mandatory civil service, their eyes glaze over and they look dumbfounded.

Then I just smile sweetly and ask what color shirt they're going to pick!

Everyone should do a little checking to see if “voluntary” service is not ALREADY required of high school students who want a diploma in hand (which is necessary for college).

The poet wrote that the world would end not with a bang but a whimper. I firmly believe freedom in America will end not with a bang, but a whine.

Resisting service is as ridiculous as buying more guns and ammo; nothing more than keyboard bluster. You pay taxes under duress. You put your child in public school. You pay for car insurance whether you like it or not.

Your chains are already ON. If you don’t exercise your “freedom,” you don’t feel your chains. But try to move, and notice that if you behave like a free American, your employer will be pressured to pressure you; your school district can threaten you, take your child, and haul you into court; you can’t move very far without your car or your driver’s license. There are innumerable things the government can do to bankrupt you, ruin you, and destroy your family, effortlessly. Your neighbors will sympathize, privately, but that’s all they dare do.

And so, if your child is conscripted, your child will serve. If your guns are banned, your guns will be surrendered. Whatever 0bamanation demands, you will oblige. You don’t want to lose your house, car, income, pension, kids, friends, reputation...do you?

So come along quietly. After all, you have been coming along quietly all your life.
