This is far more understandable than the large proportion of white people who voted for him. In particular, young white 20-somethings and college students, and 40-something true belivers from leftist enclaves. With some exceptions, the first two groups do not have the wisdom to understand the possibly catastrophic results of Obama’s naivete in foreign policy. Nor do they have sufficient economic skin in the game to understand what Obama’s leftist policies mean for their parents and by extension themselves. The 40-somethings from leftist enclaves have been consumed by Bush hatred and hatred of the GOP, which is their rationale, coupled with “white guilt”, for voting for Obama.
