Right-Of-Center Bloggers Select Their Least Favorite People On The Right (2008 Edition)
RightWingNews.com ^ | 11/13/08 | John Hawkins

Posted on 11/13/2008 7:32:49 AM PST by KentTrappedInLiberalSeattle

Right Wing News emailed more than 240 right-of-center bloggers and asked them to send us a list of whom they considered to be their "Least Favorite People On The Right." Representatives from the following 46 blogs responded...

The Anchoress, AtlanticBlog, Axis of Right, BizzyBlog, Blonde Sagacity, Bookworm Room, Bull Moose Strikes Back, The Chronicles Of A Rogue Jew, Conservatism Today, Conservative Compendium, Conservative Grapevine, Conservative Punk, Copious Dissent, Dispatches from Blogblivion, Doubleplusundead, Fraters Libertas, Gateway Pundit, Girl On The Right, House of Eratosthenes, Paul Ibrahim, Jihad Watch, Keepin' It Rural, Likelihood of Success, Lotus Blog, Rachel Lucas, Mean Ol' Meany , Mere Rhetoric, Midnight Blue, Moonbattery, Mount Virtus, mountaineer musings, My Aisling, Neo-Neocon, Patriot Room, Pirate's Cove, Pirates Man Your Women!, The Rougblog, Josh Schroeder, Don Singleton, Sister Toldjah, Southern Appeal, dcthornton.com, The Virtuous Republic, WILLisms, Wolking's World, Word Around the Net

All bloggers were allowed to make anywhere from 1-12 unranked selections and were allowed to choose anybody on the right or generally perceived to be on the right that they liked: Republican, Conservative, Libertarian, politician, preacher, blogger, columnist, radio host, you name it!

The field was wide open with some exceptions that I didn't want to clutter up the list with since they have absolutely no support in the party or are in jail: David Duke, Fred Phelps, Duke Cunningham, & Jack Abramhoff. Since the scorn for them in the GOP is pretty much universal, there was no point in adding them in.

Without further ado, here are the right-of-center bloggers' least favorite people on the right with the number of votes beside of each selection in parentheses:

25) "McCain Staffers" (5)

25) Mitch McConnell (5)

Why was Ann Coulter put on this list? For speaking the truth?

We need a new FR poll on this.
It has been a long time since the last poll.

Couldn't tell ya; I certainly didn't (and wouldn't) place her there.

7) Pat Buchanan (13)

Nice to see others realize Pat jumped the shark long ago. Why do you think MSNBC employs him? Because he does such a great job of promoting conservatism? LOL

Even some of us have fallen for the MSM portrayal of Miss Coulter. I have a mental picture of Jack Nicholson saying to them, “You can’t handle the truth”.

Are we still pretending that David Gergen is a conservative? After all he was the “house” conservatice at PBS for years.

Because even conservatives sometimes don't have a spine. Some conservatives have bought the lie that Ann Coulter is somehow hate filled for speaking plain truth.

Putting Ann Coulter on this list makes the list less effective. No way she should be on it.

See #5. There’s a list of the bloggers in question provided, if you’re genuinely curious.

Not a bad list; however, John McCain, as much as I dislike him, doesn’t belong on the list. He isn’t on the right.....

Yes. My advice for liberals who find Coulter too abrasive is “If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime”.

Personally, I would leave Ann Coulter off that list; I know she gets under people’s skin, but usually she annoys all the right (left) sort. And Lindsay Graham might also be a “late scratch”. To his credit, he was one of the hardest-working Republicans during the campaign in defending both McCain (who belongs on the list) and Sarah Palin (who manifestly does not).
