McCain and Palin were both against creation of new embryos for any research, stem cell or otherwise. They supported the Bush agenda for allowing embryonic stem cell research on the embryos that were already destroyed at the time of his executive order.
Her name was on it.
And, like McCain, she takes the Stephen A. Douglas Democrat position that claims that states’ rights trumps the unalienable right to life.
Q: Would you expand federal funding of embryonic stem cell research?
John McCain:
A: I believe that we need to fund this. This is a tough issue for those of us in the pro-life community. I would remind you that these stem cells are either going to be discarded or perpetually frozen. We need to do what we can to relieve human suffering. It’s a tough issue. I support federal funding.

Dear God,
Take away all sense of hopelessness wrought by the election results, for we know that there is always a way and always a reason for hope in You. Redirect us to the course You want us to follow, that we as a nation may come together to defend Your most innocent; to acknowledge You as our Creator; and above all, to honor You. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Amen Faith.
don’t mess with Sarah
The Congress has appropriated and directed payment of annual subsidies of hundreds of millions of dollars to Planned Parenthood for many years, apparently on the (unwarranted) premise that PPI performs valuable public service in “family planning.” It was not done at on the initiative or the request of President Bush, neither in his administration nor in all those preceding admnistrations. Granted, Bush could have sequestered those designated funds, but rarely does a president use that tactic.
YOU PRO-ABORTS WILL FIND IT GRATIFYING.
Time to stop sugar-coating this subject. This shot was taken by a pro-life activist behind an abortuary. But those arent human babies. The One has told us so.
Everyone, and I mean every one, knows that Planned Parenthood is an abortion provider. There aren’t any good natured Congressmen out there who are saying, “Gosh, I didn’t know PPI was an abortion provider who moonlights as a political agitator.”
The Republicans in Congress and President Bush in particular are to blame for our current troubles. Imagine, Planned Parenthood getting money from the government.
Can we get organized already? Our rights are going to disappear and abortion mills will receive government funding in addition to the customer’s paying for the service.
How did we lose so badly?
Until Pro-Lifers figure out they can’t protect the unborn and pregnant women simultaneously, nothing is going to change except the faces.
Oh dear Lord, forgive us! Those babies are human beings and they have been thrown in the trash-—not even to receive a proper burial! We do not dare to even treat ANIMALS this way!!! Should not EVERY AMERICÅN BE REVILED and ANGERED by this? It is an ABSOLUTE ATROCITY!!! AND YES, I AM YELLING!!!
I'm simply stating her policy positions, words and record that aren't conservative.
Sugar-coating the lousy positions and faulty understanding of Republican politicians is part of what has gotten the country to where it is.
Disturbing.
As it should be.
How many billion times are Pro-Lifers going to pray prayers just like that one before they figure out the answer is "No."
Right. And what would you propose the penalty be for those who choose this?
By trying to be both paternalistic AND egalitarian...the two are mutually exclusive.
The other side's been able to hold us at stalemate for a very long period of time. Yes, we've been able to whittle at the edges, a few states have parental notification provisions and such, but the basic fact remains: For over thirty-five years now, 99% of abortions have been essentially unimpeded by legal restrictions.
That means we have an entire generation that has grown up with that set of circumstances being a "norm". They have been prevented from making the connection between their fates and that of the unborn siblings that died in the womb. It's human nature to look at someone else's unfortunate situation, and rationalize why that happened to them, and not to you.
I don’t propose, nor do I dispose. I simply vote.
And yet the people of Colorado voted down this amendment by embarrassingly large margins. Even El Paso county, one of the most conservative counties in the country, voted it down by large margins.
So how is this evidence of success? If this idea could barely get 25% of the vote in Colorado, how is it a winning idea?
