Oh come on! No one ever watched naughty films when they were in high school or college?

Perry has the hair-do like the guys in the films is all. I didn’t write it as an insult, it was a half-hearted joke!

Besides, his kiss of death is being the governor of Texas. The only thing worse would be if his last name was Bush.

He looks like a 70’s porno star to me.

His toll road initiative is definitely obscene, he's trying to shove it down our throats...that's the main reason I will NEVER support him for anything, he is a con man.

He’s impressed me so far.

With several hurricanes and evacuations in the past two years, he always seems to be on top of things and has the necessary people on alert and standby ready for any emergency. The state did learn a lot of lessons from Rita and seems to have solved the evacuation problems.

If he’s against amnesty and for the fence then he really has my support.

To be sure, Rick Perry has definitely made a few missteps as governor of Texas (I know of no one in public life who hasn't made a few somewhere along the line.) but he isn't making one by taking this stance!

I know there are those in Texas who will disagree but I wouldn't have a problem supporting him should he decide to seek a higher office in the future.

We do tend to rag on Governor Perry here but i’m grateful to have him compared to Chris Bell or Scott McClellen’s mom. We can also thank Independent Kinky Friedman for taking 13% of the vote away from democrat Chris Bell, insuring a GOP victory.

God Bless Texas!

Too bad he didn’t give Bush-McCain’s amnesty anything more than tacit approval when it mattered.

Rick Perry: The GOP’s Ted McGinley.

The problem with Perry is that he talks out of both sides of his mouth.

I would argue that ones actions speak louder than words and one need not look any further than the programs he's promoted on colonias to understand what's going on.

And don't misunderstand, all the colonia programs are Perry's babies, lock, stock and barrel.

Rick Perry is a pompous ass and a statist. He supported and tried to *enforce* a state-wide mandatory medication program for little girls (the cervical cancer-causing infection inoculation). He’s not the worst RINO, but he is far from having a core understanding of personal freedom and the limited role of government.

”Beginning to wonder about some posters that keep attacking all our elected officials with giving them little to no credit."

Okay, I like what I hear so far, but have to wonder how long he’ll survive in such a hostile 'national' environment. I lived in Texas for over 7 years and know it is populated by a people not to be trifled with, but how long can they endure?

I wish I could believe this about Rick Perry, but I don’t. Until he walks the walk with conservatives, he can just keep moving his lips until he passes out from exhaustion. His TTT is a disaster. Regarding a border fence, he strongly opposes it! Just yesterday this was in the Houston Chronicle: “Republican Gov. Rick Perry has said he opposes a fence along the entire U.S.-Mexico border, although he said some ‘strategic fencing’ in urban areas makes sense.”

No thanks Gov. Perry.

You might want to look at the abomination of a franchise tax that Gov. Rick inflicted on Texas small business.

It isn't based on profits. It is based on GROSS SALES.

That's right, gross sales. Last year, my business took in 500k. After expenses, I made 10K. Governor Perry took $1500. That's right, I was taxed 15 percent of my profit.

It is a tax so stupid, that no other state is idiotic enough to try it. And Perry is proud of it.
