Sarah Palin is the Israel of American Politics
Canada Free Pree ^ | November 13, 2008 | Aaron Goldstein

Those who hate Israel are prepared to believe any unkind word said about it. If Israel haters are told that Israelis use the blood of Palestinian children to make Purim pastries they accept it as the gospel truth.

Those who hate Sarah Palin are prepared to believe any unkind word said about her. When unnamed sources from the McCain campaign were alleged to have said that Palin didn’t know Africa was a continent the Palin haters accepted it as an article of faith. Never mind that Palin led an effort to have Alaska divest its holdings in the Darfur region of Sudan. Those who hate Palin are not interested in the truth. They are interested only in seeing grievous harm come to her and, if need be, her family.

Some of the disdain directed towards Palin has all the quality of high school gossip. How else does one explain the story that Palin allegedly answered the door to her hotel room wearing only a bathrobe? When that wasn’t sensational enough it was then said that Palin answered the door wearing only a towel. I would not be surprised if it is alleged that Palin was in the hotel room partying with the Rolling Stones a la Margaret Trudeau. It would be funny if it weren’t so frightening.

*SNIP*

People who hate are irrational. When people are irrational they will believe any and every negative thing tossed down the chute regardless of its merit and feasibility. They believe such things because they want to believe them. If you throw enough mud against the wall some of it will stick. This mud represents the debris of hate.

Unfortunately, it is this debris that fertilizes the seeds of doubt the haters have planted. When it fertilizes otherwise decent people begin to believe as fact things that are indisputably false. This is the essence of hatred. If something is said loud enough and often enough people will come to believe it without question. If it is fertilized with enough intensity people will act on these false beliefs with tragic consequences.

My people paid the highest price imaginable for the fertilization of hatred. Fortunately, Sarah Palin and her family have not been met with any violence (so far.) But make no mistake. There are people who hate Sarah Palin enough that they would be overjoyed if she or her family members were physically, if not fatally attacked.

She, and others like her, are like a cross to a vampire. Evil is intrinsically afraid of good.

Nowadays anybody can make up stories in any one of the thousands of blogs that are out there and the news media will pick them up as if they were 100% true. Dan Rather comes to mind as somebody that was easily duped because he just wanted the story to be true.

I found some of the rumors about Sarah Palin to be so outrageous that nobody in their right mind could possibly believe they were true. But there are people out there that want to believe these rumors. And if CNN or PMSNBC or the New York Times said it then they will believe them without question.

The news media is so far to the left and out of control that they believe their own garbage.

The Church (my Church) is overdue for a purge. Like other institutions in this country, liberals, social justice advocates, antiwar activists, and homosexuals flocked to the priesthood throughout the 60’s. Without questioning motives, the result is that these children of the 60’s are now in senior positions throughout the American Catholic Church. The result is Church sponsorship or tacit approval of the most liberal and ungodly practices and policies in today's political landscape.

I agree. I heard Raymond Arroyo the other day say that 50% + of bishops voted for Obama. That’s utterly ridiculous. I am glad my Archbishiop, Cardinal Rigali, spoke out before the election. My parish evidently didn’t see fit to put his pastoral letter in the bulletin though or even mention it.

If 50%+ of RC bishops voted for Obama, I think that says it all why John and Sarah lost, and that is the most outrageous scandal of the 2008 election season.

Gov Palin was one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dismal election season. One of the few enlightened decisions by the hapless McCain.

Canada Free Press is probably the most valuable media resource we have in Canada.

I hope they aren’t shut down by the new world order.

Things are stranger than I ever thought they could become.

Bizarre, actually.

she will redefine feminism.

I hope so. It's time for femininity to be again en vogue.

She’s okay but if this all we got, the wilderness is going to be our home. I am the thinking conservative and I’d sooner follow her husband. Get a clue, the woman part isn’t going to put her over the top. To the contrary. You don’t want to hear it? Fine. Keep losing.

It’s going to have to be a non-RINO Perry type, tall dark ass kicker who likes to throw on the state guard gear. Sarah can do it but.... you know what I mean. I am sorry but this is not the time or place for a Republican to break the mold and win. No gimmick candidates please. WASPMale please and thanks. I just want to win ok? Nothing personal.

And the candidate can be a war vet, just not WWI like the last two losers could have just as well been a part of. You would have thought we would learn after the Dole debacle but no. It’s almost like the top Repubs want to lose ever so often. How else do you explain it? These Dole McCain candidates stink. How bout a young guy? That seems to work. If you don’t like Perry because he governs from the middle fine. Just remember, it’s the Texas middle. That would be a little right of Attila the Hun in Illinois.

Last comment. If the media is trying to make her the post election leader as it appears to be doing, run. We need someone who can tell the media to bugger off, but in a There you go again way.

Reagan never lost a general election at the national level. Only primaries. That’s why he could come back again and again. Palin lost the general election. Lovable loser. Next.
