I think Sarah is responsible for not keeping the seat in Republican hands. She was just looking out for Number One.

Or McCain told her too . . .he was a real pain too.

There would be a special election. This might be the last time this needs to be mentioned.

One of Gov Palin’s strong suites is taking on corruption in her own party in AK, but you wanted her to strongly support Stevens ? Explain the logic there. It would have required her to adopt the corruption she has fought. Stevens did this to himself, without Gov Palin’s support.

Her Lt Gov ran v. Stevens in the primary, and lost. If Stevens pulls it out to win the election, she can appoint the Lt Gov to the Senate seat when Stevens is forced to resign. If Begich wins he’s in office for six years.

Stevens and Begich are both part of the corrupt ancien regime in Alaska. Sarah knows who the class enemy is!

If I were running the Senate for the Democrats I would not let the Senate vote on the Stevens impeachment.

would you rather have a special election where a REpublican is guaranteed to win, or six years of a DemCrat??

That should be a no-brainer for you.

Support him with the demand that he be expelled from the Senate, and replaced.

It really isn’t that complicated.

I can’t say I will shed a tear if this crook loses.

I looked at the indictment, and frankly there isn't anything Stevens did that Barack Obama hasn't done. Stevens accepted around $120,000 in work on his house from a contributor, about the same as did John Rowland as Governor of CT. Obama got $300,000 discount off the price of his mansion because of Tony Rezko, and the Rezkos also purchased an adjacent property for $250,000 more and gave it to Obama. So if Stevens is a crook, then so is Obama.

Of course Obama is a crook and worse. His saving grace with the media is that he is a Democrat.
