Clinton lawyers vetting her for secretary of state

CHICAGO – Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has engaged three prominent lawyers to help President-elect Barack Obama vet her candidacy for secretary of state even as some insiders criticized the pick and advisers to the former first lady said she was weighing whether to take the job if Obama offered it.

If Hillary gets the Secstate nomination, Obama won't get a second term. She'll make sure of it.

Yeah, well I waited for five months for her to make sure Obama didn't win this past election to pave her way in 2012. Didn't happen.

Vetting her? You mean trying to re-write history and hiding the bodies as quickly as possible. She and Bill were in those shady dealings neck and neck. Leopards don't change their spots. The only thing Bill has done is expand. His shady deals are no-longer confined to Ark. - he's gone international since leaving office. Don't think he's in it alone, the dynamic duo is in full swing.

But really, as others have pointed out, why would she want to be part of Obama's administration? It is going to be a dismal failure, 4 and out. If she wants to make any kind of realistic run in 2012, she had better work hard at distancing herself from Obama, without appearing to be working at it.

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - Al-Qaida’s No. 2 leader used a racial epithet to insult Barack Obama in a message posted Wednesday, describing the president-elect in demeaning terms that imply he does the bidding of whites.

The message appeared chiefly aimed at persuading Muslims and Arabs that Obama does not represent a change in U.S. policies. Ayman al-Zawahri said in the message, which appeared on militant Web sites, that Obama is “the direct opposite of honorable black Americans” like Malcolm X, the 1960s African-American rights leader.
In al-Qaida’s first response to Obama’s victory, al-Zawahri also called the president-elect—along with secretaries of state Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice—”house negroes.”
