LIFE, I will never vote for a candidate who is not anti-abortion. All the rest doesn’t matter.

I soooo agree with your post.

It is not by accident that the medias are in the hands of liberals, communists, Marxist, those that do not have the best interest of America at heart. Their control is so total that we are overpowered. The Internet is great but not enough and we know that Obama or Congress is going to limit it as much as possible, in every way they can.

The young, those with family, those building careers, and the welfare class do not think for themselves. Either too busy, distracted, uneducated, disinterested, etc. Many have a “what can I do to change it anyway?” attitude; therefore they do not inform themselves and some believe implicitly in the powers that be doing the right thing.

UGH! I can hardly stand it. I do not give up ... only I see what a challenge it is to change what is happening. God can do anything. Satan is in charge of this world now because that is what the people want. It is good versus evil and evil is seen in the fabric of our government. Embedded. When we turn to God will He hear our prayers and heal our land. Christians must behave like Christians ... Christ like. As a nation we are going the other way.

You (and everyone) ought to read yesterday's WSJ column by Daniel Henninger.

Thank you for the link.

excerpt
What really went missing through the subprime mortgage years were the three Rs: responsibility, restraint and remorse. They are the ballast that stabilizes two better-known Rs from the world of free markets: risk and reward.

Responsibility and restraint are moral sentiments. Remorse is a product of conscience. None of these grow on trees. Each must be learned, taught, passed down. And so we come back to the disappearance of “Merry Christmas.””
___________________________________________________________

A long view of what was occurring would almost certainly be trouble and collapse, ...
thus it appears ... it was an intentional manipulation of our economy.

Locally A mortgage company came to town as a result of incentives offered to new companies IE (a community development organization). It was highly publicized. A couple of years later; they broke their contract, returned some of the incentive money and shut down here.
The meltdown was know by mortgage companies then.

MONEY, Greed, Success creates a anything goes society. CREDIT ... living on credit is the real underlying problem. Not only individuals, businesses, government at all levels.

“Where the reality of truth is not put forth, a false and destructive pretense calling itself truth will prevail.

Witness the election of Obama.”
___________________________________________________________

Exactly! How to counter that is the question ... HOW?

The medias at all levels are primarily controlled by Socialist, Communist, Marxist, (the tyranny of the minority is happening ... whether we like it or not). And managed or stole the votes to do it.

There are many that are concerned about entrusting the Country to the far right intolerant religious fringe.

Excuse me? Seems to me the intolerant ones are the RINOs and their fellow travelers on the Left.

Just look at any Keith Olbermann broadcast to prove my point.

I do, however, believe we need to be quiet about religion, and, where possible come at things from a moral, but secular, basis.

You cannot separate values/morals from religion. There is no real reason to be selfless, meek, moral, and the rest of it w/o God.

People that try it look as inane as the ad campaign going on now about "being good for goodness's sake. You don't need God to do that."

You cannot separate values/morals from religion.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Of course you can. We have been doing it for over 234 years in this country.

And as a result we have been a haven for many different religions as a nation from the get go.Yet we still have common moral values of basic goodness which we share in politics.

Read a little about Ben Franklin and his philanthropy.

Thats how we preserve freedom of religion. How I achieve my moral values is strictly my personal business, not yours , or anyone elses for that matter.

Those who join religion and politics overtly rarely survive in US politics, for good reason.

The latest to crash? Huckabee and Romney. Many predicted their folly when they started wearing their "religion" on their shirt sleeves during their campaigns. For every voter they attracted, they lost 3 or 4.

Thats a lesson we all need to take to heart. Respect for each other demands it. We each come to God in our own way, thank you very much.

That’s simply not correct, nor the point.

1. There are many moral atheists in this world. I strongly disagree with them theologically, and believe their choices will have poor eternal consequences, but that is between them and G-d.

2. The point is to avoid preacher-in-chief front men. Guys like Huckabee or anyone who wears religion on their sleave -— covering themselves with ashes and rending their clothes so to speak -— just turn people off.

Well I have no doubt everyone "comes to God", the question is, when you get there, what will HE say for instance to Applewhite who convinced his cult to castrate and kill themselves to catch a spaceship in the tail of a comet?

What will HE say to a clown looking for 72 virgins after blowing up a whole busload of innocent people?

We may come to Him in a jillion different ways but staying with Him for eternity is an entirely different matter!

I respect your religious views, but they are not mine. And we will have no agreement on that.

But we do have similar political ideas. For that I am so very, very thankful.

Same here. And I will protect the innocent. Obama can issue all the proclamations from Hell that he wants to, I don’t and won’t recognize any authority for him to supersede the Constitution and defy Creation.

I work for a higher authority than the President of the United States.

as I respect yours. The question is ...
what is the standard? Is man the arbitrator of this standard? What is truth?

No disrespect intended ... is time spent reading the Bible? Ever?

Hebrews 4:12 NSSB
“ The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

To those that ask God to reveal understanding as they read His scriptures (His - story), in sincerity and not in ridicule ... it is an amazing journey.

One of the tenets of AA is to not prejudge ... what we have not investigated. Of course there has been perversion done in the name of the church.

Come to the Word of God with a spirit willing to consider His truth.

A closed heart and a closed mind is bound and blinded by this world. The flesh is what rules most of the world.

Consider ... without Christ there is no hope. We are to be a seeker of truth. ???

What if the Bible is true and unbelievers are lost? Have the consequences been considered?

God is good. We choose the path we walk.

Is it not Christian principles with which America has operated?

We are blessed to be a blessing to others.

Again well said. I recall the drive-bys wringing their hands after Kerry lost, and they determined it was the “evangelical” vote that sunk him.

This time many evangelicals voted Obama.

Hard to believe? No lie.

We squander our freedom by splintering so many ways.

The main things are the main things.

Hold firm. Stand fast.

And PRAY for mercy with a THANKSGIVING/grateful heart.
