I believe for many that’s true, and unfortunately those are the people who have hijacked the pro-life movement.

"Of the core a majority want to save as many as possible now while also working towards the future HLA."

There is NOTHING, NOTHING at all wrong with it!

I support saving as many babies as we can where we can. Sometimes it may mean little steps and other times it may mean larger ones. But it is clear there are few, if any places in the country, where a pro-life bill can be passed, without the three exceptions.

An excellent, thoughtful article by Jill Stanek.

The SCOTUS has ruled that abortion is a Constitutional Right. Until we have a Human Life Amendment, the States are stuck with limiting abortion. We can make them harder to get and require more thought and preparation, but we cannot stop it at the State level under current legal reality.

The parental notification works to decrease abortion (and STDs) in Texas. We have proof.

Texas also has a prenatal protection law that names the human an “individual” from conception, but has exceptions for “legal medical” procedures requested by the mother. Without this last, we would never have gotten it passed, even with a personal letter from Lacy Peterson’s mother, sent on the day of the House vote. However, we’ve won 3 convictions for murder with this law, 2 have stood State appeals courts and a capital murder case will soon be heard at our Court of Criminal Appeals (the equivalent of State Supreme Court).

The law has also strengthened our other limitations, because there are rumors that if the abortionists don’t follow those laws, we’ll charge them with capital murder.

I’m praying, once again, EV, that the Lord blesses you with shame and repentance in the name of Love. (and thank you for your part in the lawsuit concerning Obama’s citizenship status. See my #87 at this thread - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2136873/posts )

God Bless
