Rush said” it is a waste of time to talk about it because ,we can’t prove it.” And later he said” I don’t care where Obama was born, I don’t care what his birth certificate says.” I guess he doesn’t care what the truth is. So much for the detector of truth.

A detroit radio station called the Kenyan embassy after the election of Obama. After a lot of trouble they get through to the ambassador of Kenya.

The ambassador of Kenya says that obama was born in Kenya and that his birth place has become a national shrine.

Listen to the recording here

Be sure to download the recording as well. The chances of it remaining online for long are remote.

What kind of universe is that? One that demands adherence to the US Constitution?

The birth announcements printed in the papers were not the type sent in by relatives.

In 1961, the Honolulu papers went to the Vital Records Department and collected the births, deaths, marriages and divorces that had taken place the prior week. The VR office got this info from hospitals, courts, funerals homes, etc. The papers then printed the information on Sundays.

This gives me serious pause. How did the announcements get in the paper unless O had been born in a Honolulu hospital within the past 10 or so days?

I got this from a blog that has been exploring the issue of O’s citizenship: http://texasdarlin.wordpress.com/2008/07/23/obama-was-likely-born-in-hawaii/

See my post #45 for what I discovered about the birth announcements.

They were not put in by relatives, etc.

This does not necessarily mean he is eligible, but it gives me serious pause.

nonsense!

Our youngest daughter was born in Canada, and our hometown newspaper printed an short announcement of her birth.

Just as they printed an announcement when our oldest daughter died.

Well, I care where Obama was born. I do care what the birth certificate says. I don’t have the power to force him to prove his citizenship, but the Supreme Court does.

Rush said he didn’t care? I find that hard to believe....I’d like to see a transcript of those statements.

I hope the Court does look at this...the matter must be settled.

Hey Pa mom.

I do know that foreign certificates could be filed in Hawaii at the time of Obama’s birth...that would make sense with the announcement.

Didn’t Obamas sister have the same kind of birth announcement printed in the local paper even though she was not born there?

If not, I might be getting mixed frequencies from my tinfoil hat.

But not so quickly. The announcement was printed within 9 or so days of his birth, and given the lead time with printing and the gathering of the info from hospitals, it seems very unlikely.

Also, if you read the information provided by the woman who found the announcements and researched them, the information came directly from hospitals, not alternate sources of birth.

I believe that the question about the sister related to her forged birth certificate, not announcement.

But the announcements in the Honolulu papers weren’t they kind relatives put in themselves. They came directly from the Bureau of Vital Statistics. See the link in my post #45.

“I believe that the question about the sister related to her forged birth certificate, not announcement.”

OK, that must be what I remember. That the “certification” Obama produced as proof looked just like the “certification” of the sister that was born elsewhere.

Thanks.

Yes, both Obama and his half-sister from Soetero have these Certificates of Live Birth from Hawaii, when everyone knows for sure that his sister Maya was born in Indonesia.

No, you don’t understand.

The hospital could most definitely have notified them.

The point is, in the State of Hawaii, foreign births could be documented.

The announcements don’t necessarily have to show births only in the state...they could also reflect births filed with the state.

It’s an important distinction. Doesn’t address the proof we’re looking for. I think we need the SCOTUS to settle the matter of proof once and for all.

I’m not disagreeing that this needs to be dealt with once and for all.

But the announcement could not be the result of a foreign birth registered with Hawaii. In order to register a foreign birth, you had to produce proof of birth, either in person or by mail. How could proof of birth in a Kenyan village first be procured in Kenyan, then mailed or brought to Hawaii, certified and sent to Bureau of Vital Statistics with in a matter of days? That’s what would have needed to happen in order to get it printed 9 days after birth.

But that ignores the fact that the woman who found these announcements researched them and determined that those in that specific Sunday column ONLY came from hospital births. Not even home births qualified since they did not go through a hospital. It was a set procedure the papers followed to get births printed; they did not seek out all births, only hospital births. Just a matter of ease and convenience to get most births printed for community interest.

OK, so let’s assume that you’re right and the birth occurred at a hospital. Why then no BC?

Perhaps because the name was not BHO?

That would explain why after lots of research nobody can figure out which hospital he was born at, they were looking for the wrong name?

Actually, someone did figure out the hospital, and I think it’s on that same blog I referenced in 45.

And if the birth occurred in a hospital in Hawaii, he’s a natural born citizen.

IMO, Obama knows there is nothing major (maybe his name is listed as Barry, or with his mom’s last name) in the vault form and is waiting for this thing to turn into a tempest then to release it. He wants to keep the R’s eyes off the ball and wants to foment dissent in the ranks to make it harder to win in 2010. Or, he just doesn’t care what we think and is saying screw off.

I know, cynical. Too cynical for a Friday night!

His Kenyan Grandma Sarah Obam said that his mother flew back to the states with him immediately, if she did and registered him, thus receiving the COLB then those records would be with the courts.
