Rasmussen reports that Saxby Chambliss is clinging to a narrow lead of only 4 points in the Georgia runoff election scheduled for Dec. 2.
With Ted Stevens defeated for the Alaska Senate seat and Al Franken within 200 votes of overtaking Norm Coleman with the Minnesota recount yet to even begin, the Chambliss seat is all that stands between the Democrats and 60 votes in the Senate a Senate that would be filibuster-proof.

Legions of dead voters?
We can see that based on the election results of Nov 4th, the Dems. want to see :
1. Al Franken win his recount in Minnesota, even if questionable methods are used in the recount.
2. Saxby Chambliss lose out in the runoff election.
Remember though, that the Democrats are counting Joe Lieberman to get to the magic number of 60 senators. What if Joe decided to leave the Democrats? Apparently they have made nice with Joe, but, suppose on some national security/military matters, Joe abandons the Democrats on key votes, and filibusters are upheld due to Joe being the 41st vote on the “Republican” side of certain issues? Just a thought.
Since the Democrats tried to force Joe out of the Senate in his last election in 2006, he doesn’t owe anybody anything, as far as political loyalty to Democrats.
The National Republican Trust is running TV adds to stop Obama in Georgia.

If Chambliss runs as a southern, religious, patriotic, God, guns, and traditional marriage conservative, then he wins.
If he runs a McCain campaign, first he has to declare that he’ll not say anything about his opponent and that he does not favor higher taxes even for illegal immigrants.
Chambliss is in trouble because he sided with the open borders RINOs. If Chambliss loses, those same RINOs will blame conservatives for the loss.
And the people of Georgia are no doubt believing his democrat opponent who says he wants closed borders even though the news is full of pro-illegal democrat Obama appointing radical pro-open borders & illegal alien advocate, democrat Janet Napolitano, democrat governor of Arizona to the homeland security office.
It is unfortunate, but Saxby made this bed.
Especially with his participation in the “Gang of 14” and their goofy stand on drilling.
God, please help our poor country.
1993 saw two senate elections I believe GA was one and republicans picked them up easily, showing tide had turned. The only thing I can imagine might discourage massive republican turnout would be a bailout of the auto companies, just like last time, thanks GWB!
The RATs already have 60 votes. This is a mere formality. Snowe, Specter, McCain, Collins, Voinovich, all are reliable votes to prevent a filibuster already.
A lot of black people (a solidly Democratic constituency) turned out to vote for Obama.
Will they turn out to vote for an old white man?
