Oh, the humanity
Les Nessman, MSNBC correspondent
I know but what's scary is they're pulling so many imbeciles along with them.
“As God is my witness - I thought turkeys could fly!”
LOL.
Tatt
I read the quotes from the spokesperson. Blaming the media isn’t going to work on this one. If it was that disturbing she could have stopped the interview.
We have become a Nation of Pussies.
I don't give a damn what a bunch of wusses in the media think about this and I'd be a little disappointed if she did. Bunch of nonsense IMO.
I love the WKRP reference.
And the media are a bunch of Les Nesmans. “Oh, the humanity!”
I had a similar conversation with a woman at work recently. After explaining what a partial birth abortion is, she said, "but isn't that murder?" I told her yes, that's the point. It's murder.
Since the spokesperson indicates they were aware of the setting, they could have discontinued the interview and moved it to another location on the farm. Pretty simple stuff. They weren’t forced to continue the interview. I’m sure they can handle a simple interview?
Indeed. Thank you for the link, and the laugh :)
The reason they didn't move the interview is because there is nothing wrong with killing turkeys and they weren't worried about it. Anyone who thinks this reflects badly on Sarah is just too dumb to vote. This makes the media look dumber than hell, acting as if somehow they were filming the murders of humans instead of the perfectly legitimate act of killing turkeys for sale to the public.
Having lived in the country most of my life and at one time being a hunter, I don't find the background of the interview disgusting or surprising. It is what it is.
That being said, I have to agree, unless Sarah was trying to send some kind of message...it was a poor choice for an interview site.
I really like Sarah. But since this is all about politics, it might have been best to move away from the slaughter site. She wouldn't have conducted an interview at a cattle slaughter house.
Now, donkeys....
But that would be another story...;)
Conducting an interview while someone kills turkeys behind you is just lame. I can think of 100 better venues to utilize Sarah’s skills. And standing in front of someone decapitating and bleeding out chickens isn’t one of them LOL
If there is nothing wrong with it, then why is the Palin spokesperson complaining about it?
...Either that, or you seriously want to cast doubt on Governor Palin.
Who’s arguing? It’s called making a point. I just think it was poor judgment on her part. No more, no less. I could think of many more advantageous venues to showcase Gov. Palin. Standing in front of decapitated turkeys isn’t one of them LOL
It's not Governor Palin. It's Tina Fey. The turkey chopper guy being played by Michael Moore should give a clue.
